Envy! Tell them (via a banner or something) that they need to come
back here and play Atlanta again, since they were sick (3/5ths) last
    time! :)

Now THAT's high praise. SSM live was great even without Pamela Moore
    onstage in the flesh. :)

After searching my microcosm of the music world, I have found that record stores (new and used) just dont have WDADU. Could someone please send me a copy (preferably dubbed from CD). I am perfectly willing to trade something in return or pay postage, whatever the trader likes. I have the following related music. DT- Images and Words (of course) Every Queensryche song ever realized except those that appear on the first album (Including hard to find songs like Prophecy, Scarborough Fair, Last time in Paris, and the Real World). Parallels and Perfect Symmetry from Fates Warning. Hall of the Mountain King, Gutter Ballet, Streets and Tangled in Thorns from Savatage. Any rush CD (including counterparts). Pearl Jams latest (why the hell not?)

Please, please someone respond. I really want this album.

Okay there's the tapes out of the way.. I'm only asking 7 pounds (English Sterling) each for them. That includes the tape (That's 90 minute tape - good tapes) plus the postage back to you. All I'm asking for is that you send me a padded envelope so I canreturn them to you!

    Phew!

    Well that's it!

Choose whatever you want, then just send me the money (American Express International Money Order would be preferred), to me then I'll get them to you as soon as I can!!!

Please. Don't send me the money in your local currency, as by the time I exchange them here in England it wouldn't be worth it, as you can probably understand...... I don't want to be out of pocket myself.

PLus.. I'm hardly making anything out of these scheme (maybe it will cover the cost to buy more stuff, and also to pay for the videos which I bought for this idea!!)

Anyway, if you have any problems at all, don't hesitate to mail me at any time.

    Enjoy!

    Hi guys

Here's a sad story. Yesterday I go to my local used cd shop. I brought a friend(who I played I&W for once, and he liked it but didn't go to the concert with me or anything), since he has a portable discman and I wanted to try out one or two things I had seen there. While I was listening, he was going through the New Arrivals section. He comes over to me and says, "So is this old Dream Theater album any good?" I almost wet myself. The one time I don't go straight to the New section, and there's WDADU!!! Of course, he bought it. FOR $7.95!!! I've been offering all kinds of stuff for it. That's the cool thing about the used cd shops here in Miami, they charge $7.95 for all cd's, and pay $5 for all old ones! I've gotten the new Police set for $32 and the Journey set for $24, they have YesYears for $32 and all kinds of other rare stuff too. Just thought I'd bitch at some people who would appreciate my frustration.

I saw the show in Stockholm (Sweden of course) yesterday and we spoke to Portnoy and Petrucci outside before the show and Petrucci said that Bombay Vindaloo is just what it says in the jacket , an improvised jam and that it never will happend again. We also asked him about a change of seasons and he said that they only had played it twice, once in Berlin and once in NY. > Does anyone know anything about a DT video called "Music in Progress" being > release on Oct 26? I saw that someone had mentioned it in the last digest or

James said during the excellent show that they will realease a video worldwide , shot in Japan some month ago, in early November. I can't wait!!

I had a VERY good position at the show , only 2 meters from Kevin and one .5 meter above the stage. They played to live forever just after the audience had sang happy birthday to James wife . Then they playd some other new stuff.

Great show! but the last show in Sweden 1st of April was even better.

.......now I have all 3 CD:s signed. lucky me. --

    Hey folks--

Apparently some of you are still having trouble getting WDADU. Well, I found a place that has it. In fact, they're selling it for $13.30. Yes, on CD. Anyway, what you can do from a UNIX system (sorry, I don't know about others) is type telnet holonet.net, and log in as cdc (compact disc connection). Then, follow the prompts to enter the compact disc database, then search for Dream Theater. When I tried it, I got this:

    !ATL92148 +DREAM THEATER IMAGES & WORDS 7.7/3 ** $13.22 ATLANTIC 7/92

PHA19832 DREAM THEATER LIVE AT THE MARQUEE $24.38 PHANTOM (IMPORT) 9/93

ALE3776 DREAM THEATER LIVE AT THE MARQUEE $15.72 ALEX 9/93

ALE3599 DREAM THEATER WHEN DREAM & DAY UNITE $13.30 ALEX 7/93

PHA11262 DREAM THEATER WHEN DREAM... $17.61 PHANTOM (IMPORT) 10/93

iMi11331 DREAM THEATER WHEN DREAMS & DAY UNI 7/1 $19.59 IM (IMPORT) 7/93

To order, follow the instructions they give you, it's pretty simple... (BTW, the number 7.7 following _I & W_ is the rating given by some reviewing society... Don't know why it isn't a 10...).

DISCLAIMER: I have never ordered from this group, and I am not affiliated with them in any way. Don't blame me if you get ripped off... Not that I'm saying you will...

Excerpts from mail: 22-Oct-93 YTSEJAM digest 223 by ytsejam@bnf.com > Now, a question. If I wished to write to an individual member of the > group, would I send my mail c/o the address given in the jacket, or is > that just a fan club address?

I don't know if the sleeve address will get to a specific member of the band (Though I don't see why not), But I do know where John's and Kevin's parents live. I've been to both houses and have met both of the guys(who buy the way are incredably nice). I don't know the addresses off hand, I could try to call my friend who lives about 5 houses away from John's parents to get them. I'm sure anything sent to their parents' addresses would eventually find its way to the guys. It may take me awhile to get the addresses because my friend is incredably hard to get in touch with, even when I lived ten minutes away from him. Now that I'm in college, who knows how long it will take? feel free to email me directly. By the way I met the them before I&W came out. I met John accidentally while I was dropping my friend off at his home, we passed John getting out of his Rx-7 (with his guitar). It was elevenish pm and he was just getting home from giving lessons all day. I met Kevin when my same friend and I went to his parents' house to say hi (luckily my friend knows them very well (His brother was best friends with John and Kevin all his life). We spoke to he and his father for 30 min, when Kevin gave me a copy of WDADU on vinyl (I already had the CD). Like a Dick, I didn't think to get it autographed. We went back a few months later, to a barbeque his family and my friend's parents were having, but we missed Kevin. So we ended up staying for awhile and chatted with his relatives. Both Kevin and John were REALLY nice. Of course this is before ANY ONE off of Long Island knew who they were. I haven't seen them since. Sorry to take up so much space guys. See ya,

    Matt Pulver.

    GO ISLANDERS.
