Subject: New DT song and John P. sings!!

I just got a copy of a video from some guy in connecticut. It was some radio
station that had some kind of telethon to raise money for some charity or
    food bank or something.

They had James and John P. on there and they did a few acuostic numbers.
The 1st song they did was called , "The Silent Man" (I think). It was
something that John had just recently written and said it only took him
one day. It wasn't a normal DT song. More along the lines of MOre Than WOrds
by Extreme or something like that. Then they did O Holy NIght, since this
was taped just before this past X-mas.

Then there is a small interview with them. They just say some stuff like they
are gonna start recording or working on the new album in January.

They also mention some song that John P. wrote coming home on a plane from
Hawaii called "Barfbag". Has anyone else heard of this song?
Have you heard of "Silent Man"?

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that John sings along with James on THe Silent
Man. He just does some little back ground stuff. He has a good voice.
He should do more singing. Maybe not in the studio but definatly live!

They didn't say whether this song was gonna be on the new album or anything.
It's very simple along the lines of Wait for Sleep.

    I'll see ya!

what up with the list? been down all week...hmmmm

if this gets through, i have the following guitar tab books available to
trade xeroxes of or whatever, some of you emailed me interested in these
bands, so maybe you are interested:

    powermad "absolute power"
    voivod "nothingface"
king's x "gretchen goes to nebraska"
    king's x "faith hope love by king's x"
king's x "since hector was a pup" (original name for the "king's x" album,
couldn't resist putting it as that, my friends and i still call
that album by that name, even after the name was scrapped due to
the band wanting to use a different cover picture, and deciding
            the name didn't fit anymore.....

i am interested in acquiring any official releases of tab for voivod, helstar,
watchtower, and others if it exists. i didn't think the powermad one existed
until i saw it in a guitar store. the guy said it had been sitting there for
like 2 years. gave me a huge discount. anyway, i am wiling to trade xeroxes
of these, as well as xeroxes of "pull me under" or "take the time" to anyone
    for other tab, or tapes.

sorry for the non-dt content, but if there were dt tab books available, i
would have been the first one to buy one!

    later....

I'm not getting ANY mail from this group and was just wondering if it's been
idle lately? Are there discussions going on that I'm not getting, or is it
just quiet? Can someone (or many as it will turn out) let me know the latest
status of this group via email to lee@mn.ecn.purdue.edu. If it's just been
quiet lately, I'm sorry for posting this.

What's going on? I haven't received any mail for two whole days. I
look forward to logging on everyday, and now I'm sad. Is everything
OK? I hope to hear from you soon.

Hi all, it just takes an open mind to enjoy DT the first time around. I
suspect our tastes in music are shaped by our expectations of the sound and
when the sound is different, we react accordingly. I for one fell in love
with DT the first moment I heard them! Can't wait to hear more.
