I had always assumed that Barfbag was that jazz/blues piece at
the end of To live Forever..you know the clean sounding one that
moves into a faster tempo and heavier sound....
the one off of LiT.

About the transcription books: I have a bunch from Metallica, Joe Satriani,
Queensryche, Megadeth, Testament, etc... And they are $20 to $25.00
regular price. I'm sure an imported one will cost a fortune.
Now, can anyone tell me the exact date the new FW is supposed to be out?
I'm dyin' here...

Subject: some stuff
First off... Cqaught In A Web... after listening to the demos about
3 or 4 times... I have a few comments... First off, for thosee of you
who have said some stuff about the song, first, realize that Mike said
that they have done alot with the song after this demo... And that
Caught In A Web has had alot of changes since this demo... Also, he
says that this is the heaviest song on the CD... I really like it...
Myung really goes crazy on it... You can hear the bass the entire way
through I love it... It is definatly different than I&W, but it is
great... Also the comment I made on the drums... That was only about
one _SMALL_ portion of the song...
Lets see... what else did Mike say... They will be at that Founders
Forum... They had found out about the show after the news that I
posted...
Hmm... Mike Portony does Surrounded... Mike gave an explanation
about the time that James left the stage in England... What had
happened was some asshole in the crowd really started getting to James
yelling out lyrics and everything... and he couldn't finish the
song... is sora an explanation...
Anyway, I am in the middle of listening again... If you want a
copy... I am always up for a trade... And I will be sending out
copies to several people very soon... The ones so far, if you want a
trade w/ them are:
Mike Bahr: garion@indirect.com
Brian Cox: bvc8995@tamsun.tamu.edu
Bill Bajzek: wb2a+@andrew.cmu.edu
Chris Anderson: parallels@aol.com
Larry Hartman: lhartm1@gl.umbc.edu
That;s all I can think about for now... Anyway, I can't wait til October 5

I was just told that BNF is moving tomorrow. The list *might* be down all weekend, but I will try to get the new list active by tomorrow morning Pacific time.
Starting tonight at 10pm, please use "ytsejam@arastar.com" as the mailing list address.
Sorry for the short notice, but this is all the warning I was given.

I find myself having to say this every time someone new to the list asks for opinions on Fates. All I've heard (or have) is Parallels, but for me, Ray Alder's vocals just suck the life out of each and every song. These guys are really good musicians, (but how can you compare them to DT?) but every song needs about twice as many words so that Alder doesn't have time to stretch each syllable out to the point of nausea.

Oh, one other thing mentioned on the radio show... A caller mentioned something about the sheet music for |I&W... Mike said that they had someone else working on it, and alot was bad (something like 50% inaccurate) which is why John P was working on it... Anyway, he said that they got distracted after a promotional tour in Korea, then they came back to work on Awake... I am not sure, but I think that he said that they hope that it will be done before Awake is released...
Oh, one final thing is Mike mentioned us... He said something about all of those on some electronic list, or sometging to that effect... He was mentioning it, when mentioning the British fanzine... (oh, he also was talking alot about boots... but, evidently, he hadn't hear LitS yet... he started out saying that he wasn't going to play anything undoccumented on LiT or LatM... but seemed to indicate that there wasn't going to be stuff on most boots... so he played ALOT of rarities from LitS (Mission: Impossible, Afterlife, Barfbag, Only A Matter OF Time, March Of The Tyrant (last 2 are actually from the LitS disc... others are different days...). He said that they played it, cause alot of people in Italy seemed to have boots of the Majesty Demos... Sounds like he has fun w/ boots also... -- +----------------------------------------------------------------------+ | This world is spinning around me | | This world is spinning without me | | Every day sends future to past | | Every breath leaves me one less to my last | | Dream Theater Pull Me Under Images and Words | | Michael Burstin Brandeis University | +----------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Let's Go Pens Let's Go Pens Lets Go Pens Let's Go Pens | +----------------------------------------------------------------------+ For info about Dream Theater, finger mikeb@cs.brandeis.edu

I used to wonder why so many requests for subscription cancellations came across on this mailing list. I now have my answer -- No one answers mail from either the Errors-To or Owners addres. I apologize in advance for this getting posted to the mailing list, but after almost a month, I have no other choice.
Once again, I am requesting that I be removed from this mailing list.
