As a system administrator, I take it rather personally when someone
starts talking about mailbombing, and I like to point out the consequences
    of such an ill-considered act.

As just another list member, my life has been hectic enough lately that
I frankly don't give a flying *%@! what you want.

Well, interesting subject to choose there... I almost thought that
someone posted a chain mail letter. (It has already been done on one
mailing list that I am on...)

A friend and I were discussing this a few days ago, while watching the
LiT video... We decided that most eMpTyV fans are afraid of
instrumental music. (how many times have you seen a Satriani, Vai,
Hoey, or any other instrumental based videos on eMpTyV?). I just
timed the little instrumental in Take The Time, and it was somewhere
between 2.5 and 3 mins... eMpTyV can't affort to have real music on
for that long. It would scare away too many clueless people... :)
Anyway, I would have liked to see a full version of TTT, but its
better to have eMpTyV play it at all, rather than do what they did to
Another Day... Now, all we need to do is have DT give them a full,
unedited version of A Change Of Seasons :)

The new issue of Modern Drummer has the results of their annual reader's poll. As you can guess, Mike took the award for 'Up-and-Coming Talent'. The shock was that he didn't place in the top 5 for hard rock/metal. That winner was none other than this list's perennial favorite . . . . . . Lars. Go figure.

P.S. The last minute of Learning to Live is absolute brilliance. Just thought you should know.

Yeah, I got into them just about the time when IAW came out. One of my friends at school played me PMU between class and i've been hooked ever since.

I saw them at the Montreal show, my jaw was on the ground for the whole show, and MAN was it LOUD for a club!! <not that I'm complaining or anything.. :) >

also: what address do i mail to make a general message in here?

    thanx
