Hm... That's a good point. Unfortunately it uses the file
modification date rather than the date of the mail message as you
suspected. I'd have to hack up Glimpse to look for the date inside of the
file. That would probably be non-trivial since the files are htmlized.
But, I guess it does already grab the title from inside of the file,
so it should be possible. Maybe if I get some extra time I'll take a
look at it.
BTW, in case you're curious I used Hypermail to convert
my Ytsejam mailboxes (in standard Unix format, RFC 822) to the HTML format
(each mail message is a separate HTML file now). I had to hack up the
Hypermail archiver program a bit so that it would put the files into
Year/Month categories rather than one massive directory. After that I
ran the Glimpse program to index keywords from the HTML files and used
WebGlimpse to set up the user interface.
