Hey guys.
Can anyone recommend a good first CD to start out with for the bands
Artension and Enchant? I really have been enjoying the mp3's I've
heard and am interested in picking up a CD by each. Thanks!

Goddamn! I could actually afford to buy a JPM for that
price! I'm flying to New York in about a month...Maybe I
should have one of 'em off him!

Well, it's all a matter of taste, isn't it? Met1 is a
great song with a crazy instrumental bit in the middle. It
works fine without the middle bit too. It's not quite like
"Better World" by Toto, which is really a complete song
with another complete song split into two around it; Met1
is a whole composition, but it works jst as well without
the crazy stuff.

I=B4d recommend:
ARTENSION: In the Eye Of The Storm (1st) and Phoenix Rising (2nd).
ENCHANT: Blueprint Of The World (a musthave!)
That=B4s my opinion only....

Enchant is good with their first CD, A Blueprint of the World. I would
suggest starting there. Time Lost is probably the second choice. Others may
disagree.

I have two humble requests for the inhabitants of JamLand:
1) If anyone owns or has used a Roland XP50 and has an
opinion on them, could you e-mail me privately? I've
got a guy who wants to sell me one, flightcased, for
£500. Sounds good to me, but I've never used Roland
apart from the JV1080.
2) Could someone who has MP3s of Ytsejam for Classical
Piano and/or "Fly Me To The Glass Moon", both from
http://go.to/dtcovers e-mail me please? I want to get
them saved, but my proxy server here has banned the
site, so I need to get them through the back door!
Many thanks in advance to any offers of help!
Regards,
~Simon

Coming out of lurk mode for my once every six months post..... Does anyone
know where I can hear some of the new Pain of Salvation CD. I can't wait
'till Oct. 31. And, are they going to do any shows in the US anytime
soon. Also, the Cinci show cd tree was great. Is anyone else planning
another tree anytime soon. Thanks for your help. Oh and a .....GO METS. :)

Hey all,
I've made a few changes to the ProG Rock radio station I have which will
allow people with 56K modems to tune in. Due to the lower quality and mono
sound I could not go any lower speed than this. Hope you enjoy.

others yet, I'll have to check it out.

I just got the new Theater of Dream Fanzine. It has some great interviews
that were done....back in February! Gee, nothing like info that's 8 months
old! If I can get access to a time machine, I'll send it back in time to
Hanuary, when I might have given a damn!

There definately used to be - when the mailing list was hosted by another
server. Not sure of the status of that these days

When I first came across the 'Jam - back in '95 it was the greatest and most
interesting thing I'd read in years and I soon stopped buying magazines like
Kerrang!, Raw (R.I.P) etc. and followed slavishly the wit and wisdom
expounded on the jam by the musos, techies and review jedi. I also saved a
text copy of every jam I received. When I changed by email client from MS
Mail to Outlook Express this soon changed as Outlook Express didn't make the
task of saving multiple messages as a text file very easy at all. Several
disk crashes and MS f**k-ups later, several years worth of ytsejam storage
was lost and I gave up on the idea. I do however have 20+Mb's worth of jams
from about 760 thru to 1910, (dating from 19th Sept '95 to 8th Oct 96) which
I could zip up and ftp to my website. Ties also admitted some time ago to
having a floppy disk collection containing archived Jams - any other old
ytsejam hoaders still on the list?

Hey all - I've been quet for a LONG time, but this nice person, and former
jam member, Linus Akesson has sent me some information that I'm passing along
at his request. I havn't checked out the accuracy of this, but last time I
talked to him was 8 months ago when he was in the process of, and he just
finished it now, so it should be really good. The solo is from Beyond This
Life and it's at 9:40 in the song. The web site is http://linusworld.cjb.net
and the link is in the paragraph on music about half way down the page -
enjoy!
