Just bought Eternity X's 'The Edge' CD
Hadn't heard of them before, and saw it mentioned in several peoples
alltime top 10's on CDNow.
I must say I'm very impressed... then went to their Website
www.eternity-x.com
only to find out that Keith has pulled the plug, and is likely not to
record anymore... sucks that another talent will henceforth disappear.
PS: Put me down for the list-only-accessible-by-members
I'm not going to put up with this spam for very much longer, if
nothing improves in the next short while.
There's plenty of other resources with more info at the moment.
Let's get this fixed before its too late.

What is so difficult to understand about that? If a friend refused to go

Really?! On my TV, the mix is absolutely PERFECT, I was
going to ask MP to congratulate Kevin Shirley on it. JM
is WELL up in the mix, and the whole thing is great. The
guitar is a little lower in the mix, the bass and

I'd be happy with an album that sounds like what MP
wanted FII to sound like...Composition instead of
riffery, plenty of keyboards and bass grooves. I like
SFaM, but - with the possible exception of "Finally Free"

than it is a Dream Theater composition) - there isn't
anything on it that compares to "Hell's Kitchen/Lines in

(awesome for the first minute, and then they ran out of
inspiration, seems to me), You Not Me (just shit,

DVD, yet, so I'm not sure what kind of gun was presented; however,
semiautomatics had been around for some time by 1928. Colt came out with a
semi-auto pistol in 1911 (it's easy to remember, because 1911 was the model
number, also), an I'm sure that was not the first such handgun released. If
you watch a lot of old detective movies set in the twenties and thirties,
you will often see them using the Colt 1911.

looked an awful lot like a 9mm Beretta to me. could be wrong. if it was, they were deffinetly NOT around in 1928. besides, during the audio commentary on the DVD, they admit that they fudged-up with the gun type, because the footage was shot by people other than themselves. i distinctly remember portnoy saying, "yeah, well, you gotta' work with what ya' got." end of issue.

Hi guys. It's so good seeing the jam wake up a little...
AS for the stuff about Pantera, I think TGSTK is their worst album ever (although I never had enough courage to listen to REinventing the steel) - except for their first albums - which are really hard to find. By the way has anyone heard them ? The ones I heard were "pI am the night" and "Projects in the jungle" and it was hilarious hair-metal. I just think Far beyond driven and Vulgar... are great! Then Radiohead... first I hated KIDA and I also thought it was unlistenable... then my roommate began to put it on every morning (imagine :you wake up, you're a zombie and you hear this strange noise which makes you ask yourself if you're already awake or if you're still in this bloody nightmare where you french kiss a french politician...) ... and believe it or not i begun to like it. I think you need something like 100 hearings before you can start to understand something from this album....
And as for DT, i'd REALLY like another awake... just think "Space-Dye vest" is the best DT-song ever. Although it's more Kev's effort than DT's ;-).

Hi yall, I'm one of those jammers who lurk and never post. The one time I will ALWAYS make an exception is when I feel the need to sing much-denied praise for FII--the most fabulous creation of art by man in any era, any medium. I guess there's not much use for my praises anymore, since as I understand it, Portnoy isn't really among us anymore (or am I totally mistaken?), and so I wouldn't be able to petition Dream Theater to play Hell's Kitchen in their shows...not that I was ever successful...or if I were, I certainly was not the cause...but what the hell. The point I'm driving at is that FII is beyond great. I would love to see the next album be an FII pt. II, though I somehow get the feeling it will never happen. Unless, of course, all my pathetic crusading eventually convinces enough fans to see FII from my point of view...

The first patent for a semi-automatic pistol was filed September 14, 1895 by John Browning. In February of 1900 Colt put a 28 caliber semi-auto that Browning had designed on the market. As far as I know, that's the first semi-auto in the US.

I'm gonna come out of lurk mode for this one. I haven't seen the DVD, yet, so I'm not sure what kind of gun was presented; however, semiautomatics had been around for some time by 1928. Colt came out with a semi-auto pistol in 1911 (it's easy to remember, because 1911 was the model number, also), an I'm sure that was not the first such handgun released. If you watch a lot of old detective movies set in the twenties and thirties, you will often see them using the Colt 1911.

OK, so a little less than 10 minutes ago I turn on the TV, it's on the WB channel and I'm greeted by a scene of two teenaged girls in a bedroom...and the music in the background is the 1st track off Buckethead's "Colma" album (I forget the name of the tune). I call my girlfriend, tell her to turn on the TV and see if she knows what show it is, and as she's switching channels i see a DT SFAM poster on her closet door! Turns out the show was Roswell, so I'm not gonna watch the rest of it...just found it amusing. Anyway...oh yeah has anyone gotten their "Xmas" CD yet? I haven't read postings on it lately but I seem to remember someone saying they got it...
