Sounds like the level is too high and you're clipping. That would be the
cracks you hear. Try recording at a lower level. Then use a program such
as Sound Forge or Cool Edit 2000 (you can get Cool Edit 2000 for a free
demo at www.syntrillium.com) to EQ and use whatever processors you want to
use.

As for "official" get togethers: Dunno. I'm not even sure how many ytses

I am taking the day off from work, though, and will probably wind up at
the venue around noon or so. :)

I probably won't make it THAT early, but I'm definitely planning to be
there! :)

There's a bunch of Tori Amos fans on this list, or, at least, there used to
be. For all of you (and even the non-fans), here's a pretty funny cartoon:

Wow! G3 is playing at a Sausage Festival?! I hope they
have some good beer to go with it. Sorry, I don't have
a recipe for sausages...even though I live near San
Francisco...

Smell the glove! Are you being sexist? Are you saying
that women (as a gross generalization) are more frugal
than men? That men will pay more for a concert? ;o)

Well, I don't know about G3, but in general, they HAVE
exceeded the pain level, and they can't sell out most
shows anymore. Now they whine that no one goes to the
overpriced shows. Boo hoo.
> Purely supply and demand.
Exactly. Maybe the concert promoters or someone needs
a simple lesson in economics... They probably won't
get it though. The end result will be cancelling of
tours. They won't consider dropping prices or scaling
back expensive stage shows, they just stop the
performances altogether. The "big concert" industry
believes they have a monopoly, and they'd rather make
you "suffer" by cancelling shows than lose any of
their profits.
Go to small clubs instead... or Artichoke Festivals...
support your local bands.
