Anyone who wasn't at the Symphony X show in Brooklyn lastnight missed an
incredible show. 5 opening bands! Symphony X didn't finish until 2:30am
and it was only $10 a ticket. One problem though...EVENT...the sounded
awful. Maybe I missed out because I was in "progmetal world" for a few
hours and it just didn't fit...or they just really sucked. And I know the
drummer of Event reads this list...and all apologies, but Event should have
    stayed in Boston on Friday.

But Symphony X - they put on an epic show. I always knew how good they were
from their CD's, but they're even better live. Russell Allen is such an
amazing vocalist with a big range and so much power. And Mike Romeo...there
was one time when he just shredded arpeggios and chromatic runs for like 3
straight minutes. For a second there, I thought I was at an Yngwie show.

yeah, no kidding. i was a little bit pissed when i went to watch Overture
1928 (the whole song) and found out that the 3 1/2 minutes that it was
listed at only wound up being 11 seconds. talk about being short-changed.

Just so you know, that WAS a full three and a half minute long video clip,
dude. I watched the entire thing after downloading it from his site, so
you more than likely were merely cut off after a certain portion of the
download. Usually if that happens to me, I try re-downloading it instead
of automatically assuming that the webmaster is trying to cheat me out of
something that he didn't make money off of anyway. It's hardly "short-
changing you" of something if it was going to be free to begin with.
