Yeah yeah, I know, I really should have *something* by Judas Priest
by now (besides my copies of Angra playing Painkiller and Racer X
playing Heart of a Lion). So, what do you guys say? What is the
definitive album (or albums) by Priest?

You can't go wrong with "Painkiller" or "Screaming For
Vengeance". However, I would advise holding off on buying any Priest for a
couple of months -- they're remastering and rereleasing just about all of
    their old albums. From JudasPriest.com:

    >>>
The first phase of The Remasters will be released end of April/beginning of
    May, 2001 -
the four CD's all featuring 2 bonus tracks each in this phase are:

    BRITISH STEEL
    - RED, WHITE & BLUE (studio track never before released)
    - GRINDER (live version)
    POINT OF ENTRY
    - THUNDER ROAD (studio track never before released)
    - DESERT PLAINS (live version)
    SCREAMING FOR VENGEANCE
    - PRISONER OF YOUR EYES (studio track never before released)
    - DEVIL'S CHILD (live version)
    DEFENDERS OF THE FAITH
    - TURN ON YOUR LIGHT (studio track never before released)
    - HEAVY DUTY/DEFENDERS OF THE FAITH (live version)

    More news later!

    Hope that helps,
    Brian

    hey all.
the last jam had some talk of tea party and their eastern sound.
Can anyone tell me of other great groups or tunes that bring middle
eastern sounds into their music? or even oriental stylings ala "lady of
the snow" by symphony X. thanks.

    Hey Dyne...

My band Krane are heavily influenced by Tea Party and Tool.
We're fairly simple in our style of music but we love using eastern
pharsings mixed with groove and funk...
For anyone interested in downloading some of our samples, go to
    www.mp3.com.au/krane

Our stuff is by no means complex, we let bands like DT take care of that!
We do like to go by "feel" though.
The samples on our mp3 site are demo's from our upcoming cd called
    "Cydonia".

Painkiller. This album is truly astounding. I have broken many speed
limits and done some extremely dangerous driving because of Night
Crawler, Touch Of Evil and the title track itself!!!!

N.B. Now when I'm driving I just listen to BBC Radio 2.

    Hi everyone,

I have put the Ytsejam T-Shirts on eBay. I have started two auctions (one for each size shirt). Ebay has been incredibly slow for me lately so be patient with the load speed.
