At first I thought that thread was very timely as he is supposed, off the record of course, be fully contemplating returning to the NBA, via the Wizards and announce this officially NEXT week, but much to my chagrin, and erroneously, I determined the Jordan denoted in the thread was NOT Michael Jordon, nor Jordan Knight from NKOTB (where IS he
anyhow? or the entire 'band'?) BUT -- Jordan Rudess! On the Ytsejam? How utterly unexpected...

Anyhow, while PERSONALLY I have always enjoyed Mr. Rudess' playing, and he's incredible, I much prefer the Sherinian era, although kevin Moore is (was) the bands 'Stevie' if you catch my drift. Jordan is a tad to dramatic and theatrical in technique and application for my taste. I just quite enjoyed Derek's 'rock/jazz' vibe he brought to the
band, and though his personality was quirky, definitely added another dimension to DT.

On that note, what Rudess is doing in NYC is certainly admirable. Wish I hadn't temporarilly relocated to NC from NY this summer, dammit!

Another sidebit: DT are getting additional PR from this whole coincidental extravaganza, regardless of any other thoughts and reservations they have, there was even a small little side bar in the new issue of EW regarding their CD cover and a few other musicians. Go figure, eh?

I don't know where the entire "band" is but Joey Joe (swoon!) will be
starring Off-Broadway in the show _Tick... Tick.. Boom!_. I believe he
starts sometime in October.. provided the show doesn't close before then...
err.. provided EVERY show on and off Broadway doesn't close before then..
(besides _The Producers_, that is -- they're still going strong!)

Random and off-topic info is, of course, my specialty... (especially since
    nobody listens, anyway.)

One of them had done a video clip about 2 years ago,sth aboot a fun fair,
lots of women dancing around him etc etc. Unfortunately,it didn't become
a vast hit as it was expected. One of them is into the real estate business
and some other in the film industry though i'm not so sure of the latter.
I'll check with other NKOTB fans to get some more solid info about them
and send it here as i know many people on this list are highly interested in
    this thread.

someone on this list last week (2 weeks ago?) talked
about working for best buy, or some related company,
and the fact that they had recalled the DT disc. The
record company itself recalled the LSfNY with the WTC
cover, and that's 10 days old news now....

so why does the most recent Best Buy Sunday paper
insert have Live Scenes from New York featured as "new
    music from a developing artist"?

(i think it was the most recent....now that i think
about it, i didn't see the date on it.....then again,
it HAD to be the most recent....it also showed an ad
for Queensryche's "Live Evolution" which doesn't come
    out until Tuesday.....)

anyone know who at Best buy isn't reading the
    newspaper?
