    Hey everyone,

I've never heard Chroma Key, although I'm making plans to
acquire this title in the near future. However, I have a
question that is of temporal significance, for Christmas is
approaching, and I'm considering a present. As such, would
either of the Chroma Key albums appeal to a
    techno/electronica/Veruca Salt/Tori Amos/trance/etc. fan? Any
insight into what the album sounds like would be appreciated.

    Thanks a bunch,

    - Ilia.

The first album (Dead Air for Radios) is a kind of band-sounding album,
while the second one (You Go Now) is more electronic, so the second one
would probably work better.. But to each his own, so you'd probably be
better off listening to them both before deciding.

All I have is Dead Air For Radios (his first solo album). It is very mellow & atmospheric. Hard to describe considering his past works and influences on DT.... I can't say he sounds ANYTHING like Veruca Salt, but I can see an Amos resemblance even in a miniscule sense. I wouldn't consider him techno either, but the album is probably more ambient (plus vocals however) than electronic. Hope this makes it even more vague for you... :p

I personally like it, that's the summary =)

I'd say that there's a chance they would like it. As for Tori Amos, I do believe that Kevin Moore was almost obsessed with Tori (or so I've read). He did a remix of the Tori song "Song for Eric" (His version is called "Song for Eric (For Tori)" It used to be available for download. Don't know if it is anymore though.
