The one I can't manage to get out of my cd player is Superior-Ultima

What's a truck for, if not to get dirty? :)

If you like TPE, then Remedy Lane should grow on you.
It took longer for me to "get it" than TPE, but now I
like it just as much. Excellent disc.

Just a note on PoS: They took quite a beating recently
here on this list, and that's fine, some people don't
like them. We are (should) all be DT fans here, but
there are a variety of reasons for liking DT. If you
love DT primarily for the musicianship, i.e. for
Petrucci's guitar playing or Portnoy's drumming, you
may not like PoS. While everyone in PoS can play their
instruments just fine, they're not "extreme, best of
the best" players like the guys in DT.

If you like DT more for the music composition,
especially the Kevin Moore era, then you might like
PoS. If you skip songs like Wait for Sleep or
Space-Dye Vest, you should go ahead and skip PoS. PoS
goes from mellow to heavy, but they do dwell a lot in
the mellow area. There's your warning...

Hmm, so far, topping my list is

    Superior, ULTIMA RATIO

--Which is a most-welcome return to their older style. I had high
expectations for it and they didn't disappoint.

Close behind it are several CDs:

    Pain of Salvation, REMEDY LANE
    Soilwork, NATURAL BORN CHAOS
Green Carnation, LIGHT OF DAY, DAY OF DARKNESS
    Dream Theater, 6DoIT

Also, the new Arch Enemy (if it's a 2002 release; I'm pretty sure it is)

Rick... The worst thing you could ever do is base your opinion on what others think. It's like movie critics. They put their own opinions out there and many people take that to heart. It's sad.

If you like Rush, buy it and make up your own mind. Please don't let others make up your mind for you.

I haven't purchased the new Rush CD yet because of all the conflicting opinions I hear about it. I'm have every Rush CD, so I know I'll eventually get it. But I'm not a big fan of later Rush...my Rush preferences are 2112, Hemispheres, and the first three CD's. I get the impression that VT is more like later, rather than older, Rush.
