I might be wrong, but the problem you're having sounds like you're just ripping one channel of the songs. In other words, you're ripping what comes out of only one of the speakers. Try to see if there's an option to record in stereo.

RE: MP3 ripping
This is peculiar. Do you have some sort of eq in use? There are certain
programs that are designed to eliminate vocals from audio files. I believe
they use some sort of eq cut to achieve this. Maybe you've got certain
high-frequency bands turned down a lot.

BZZT. Thank you for playing. ;)
Actually, the way karaoke plugins work is to remove the center portion
from the sound field. It does this by subtracting one channel from the
other, which leaves only the material that isn't being played by both
channels at the same time, or, in other words, the material that's on the
edges of the sound field. By doing this, the vocals, which usually are
centered, are removed.
Actually, what it sounds like to me is that he may have a spatializer
turned on in his sound setup. I could be wrong about that, but I suggest
playing the MP3s in Windows Media Player and seeing whether they sound
okay in that case, because if they do, it's because MusicMatch Jukebox has
some kind of plugin installed that is affecting the playback. If not, I
suggest opening your mixer program (the little yellow speaker in the
taskbar, or the green icon if you have a Sound Blaster Live) and clicking
"Advanced Properties". It might have something in there that is checked
that shouldn't be.

Hey, JM...
Yup, I have "Sanctus Ignis," and I like it a lot. But I like Hamadryad
and Arabesque even better! :^)

If you've got a fairly recent computer, I'd recommend going with a software
drum machine. Better sound quality, easier programming, and best of all,
cheeper :)

Jon,
To me it sounds as if your ripping to mono instead of stereo...
The sections you noted are on one side only.
I personnally don't use "MusicMatch JukeBox" but check your settings...
Try-out 44K/16bit/Stereo for the mp3 recording.

Hello! I just wanted to say that there's a new song available for download on All That I Bleed's official site www.allthatibleed.com The song is off their debut album Dying to Remember and is called Gods. It's a kickass song, one of my favorites from the album. Please download it and post any comments or reactions you might have.
