Hi guys,
I know that this 6 discs box (Forbidden Dreams) can be find in the
SFAM Dream Theater site. Now, I want to download the discs 5 and 6, and
the site (SFAM) puts 2 discs per month to download. I lost the discs 5
and 6. In March, the site will put the discs 3 and 4 to download in the
BOOTLEG OF THE MONTH section.
Can you give another bootleg address to download it, if you know, of
course!!! ;-)

Does anyone know if the Baltimore show from the last tour was recorder. It
was the first DT show that I got to see with my brother and I would love to
get a copy. I can trade if anyone has it. Thanks.

Here's what I think you should buy next from Rush:
Old school Rush:
Permanent Waves - This is a kickass album with classics such as The Spirit of Radio, Freewill, Jacob's Ladder, Natural Science. Truly Amazing and progressive.
Hemispheres - Amazing album similar to 2112 in terms of organization, with one very long song and a few short ones. Very progressive as well, and with excellent songs (can't remember which ones exactly, but they're all great).
A Farewell to Kings - Includes classics such as Xanadu, Closer to the Heart, Cygnus X-1. Great as well.
Exit Stage Left - Live album recorded during the Moving Pictures tour. Great setlist and performance.
After you get these, your next step depends on your tastes, since Rush started to experiment a bit more and change their style gradually. Here are my must buys: Signals, Grace Under Pressure, Presto, Counterparts, Vapor Trails. I do have to say that pretty much all Rush albums are very good. The only studio album that they've released and I've never felt the urge to buy is Roll the Bones. Some people absolutely love Hold Your Fire, but it's not a sure thing for everybody. But start out with the ones at the top and you will be very happy.

Despite your annoying use of HTML, since you've sucked up properly and are
talking about two of my favs, I'm going to help you out ;-)
Rush releases (IMO) can be grouped in eras. The CD's you listed happen to
fall in and bracket my favorite era (progressive). 2112 was the start and
MP ended it (although some may argue that Signals is the last of that era
but I believe that it actually starts their next phase. For more of the same
as what you have, you could get A Farewell to Kings (I would get this one
next if I were you) Hemispheres, or Permanent Waves (in that order). Those
five represent the greatest works Rush ever produced!
The earlier stuff is less refined/produced but still awesome classic Rush.
Fly By Night (more rock, w/ classic Bytor and the Snow Dog) and Carress of
Steel (more progressive and moody with references to Lord of the Rings). The
self titled disc does not have Neil Peart but does have some great rock
songs on it. All the World's a Stage is on of the greatest live albums ever
produced (IM not so HO). The Cd's after MP started going in a more
commercially accessible direction (again, IMO) and are less for me than the
previous YMMV. My favs from this period is Power Windows.
Yes is tough one, because I like them all up to Talk (which happens to be
one of my favorites). You already own the to most essential. I would go for
the Yes Album to complete the Trilogy with the first of those three. After
that it's hard to say. Relayer is dark and moody but classic although kind
of obscure, kind of similar in style is Tales from Topographic Oceans
(double Album). Then there was the more pop/lighter mood of Going for the
One and Tormato. Drama featured singer and keyboardist from the Buggles
(Video Killed the Radio Star) which was very different but I happen to like
it a lot! Then later there was the Trevor Rabin era which was not for
everyone. 90125 of course includes Owner of a Lonely Heart, and Big
Generator was similar, then came Talk. I would get Talk from these three
especially if you own a subwoofer for your playback system (a real one not a
computer wannabe). I have not gotten into any of the latest stuff they've
been doing or even since Union.

Everyone's gonna tell you something different. :-)
Rush... Get them all! The next five you should go for are Hemispheres,
Caress Of Steel (so underrated), A Farewell To Kings, Signals, and
Counterparts. Then Fly By Night, Rush, Grace Under Pressure. Then the
other newer stuff - Test For Echo and Vapor Trails. By now you will be a
committed fan and will have a good chance of being able to see the beauty
behind the 80's cheese on Hold Your Fire, Power Windows, and Presto. The
only album I don't like as much as the others is Roll The Bones, which
starts with two _amazing_ tracks then becomes quickly forgettable.
Also get all four live albums... :-)
As for Yes, get The Yes Album, Tales From Topographic Oceans, Relayer, and
Going For The One. I think that was their last good album - Drama had some
ok bits but isn't a classic like the others. Also Yessongs is a good live
album.
That's why I rate Rush so much higher than Yes - consistent high quality
over many years.

Rich,
First I'd suggest turning off HTML in your email client. As for
the music:
Rush: I love both "2112" and "Moving Pictures" too. I don't like "newer"
Rush as much (after Hold Your Fire)
- "Hemispheres" -- One of my favorites with Rush classics like
"La Villa Strangiato" and "Trees."
- "A Farewell to Kings" -- This one and "Hemispheres" follow in
the footsteps of "2112" with long songs and great instrumental
sections.
- "Permanent Waves" is somewhat like "Moving Pictures" though not quite
as good, imho.
- "Signals" came after "Moving Pictures" and starts moving a bit
more into the shorter song-oriented style, but has a lot of good tunes.
- "Grace Under Pressure" follows in "Signals" footsteps with more great
songs.
Yes: I also love both "Close to the Edge" and "Fragile".
- "The Yes Album" - This one was before "Fragile" and is in a similar
vein. It contains a number of Yes classics like "Starship Trooper"
- "Relayer" - This is a more experimental "Close to the Edge." I never
got into it as much as CttE though.
- I didn't like the next few '70s Yes albums as much as the earlier ones.
They just got a bit too experimental. The only exception is "Going
for the One" which has the beautiful "Awaken."
- "90125" - This was Yes' move into the '80s and while it's much more
pop than their earlier stuff it's still great.
- "Keys to Ascension 2" - This has my favorite Yes tune from the '90s:
"Mind Drive," a 20 minute song that sits up there with the '70s ones.
The rest of the CD is good, but not as good as the '70s stuff.
- Stay away from "Open Your Eyes" which was terrible, imo.
- "Magnification" - This is their most recent CD. It's great! They
brought in an orchestra, which I was a bit concerned about since
the "orchestra plays Yes tunes" never worked that well for me, but
in this case it is wonderful. They do much more than just play backup.
They are an important part of the music which sounds fresh, crisp and
clean. It is different from their earlier CDs, but it is still
classic Yes.
In any case, you're in for a treat. Let us know what you decide
and enjoy!
Steve
