That is the eternal question. Why do they crank it up
to ear bleeding level and so much distortion you can't
tell what song they are playing? Maybe someone out
there knows?
Maybe they want it so distorted that the mistakes
can't be heard...

Well, all truth be told, most sound engineers are deaf.
A lot of them have been in the industry so long they
themselves can't hear to begin with.
