Yeah, Rata. They are still producing records, only they have turned
from their old symphonic metal style to a more "commercial" rock
(they mettaliqued :). That means more people like them, but they are
crappier.
Preludio Obsesivo is a track from an album and Capricho Arabe is a
b-side, so they are not the same thing. They are two differents sets
of guitar-oriented instrumental songs. You probably mixed them up
because in one of their live albums, they do a medley of the two. The
lead guitar guy (Walter Giardino) is quite fast, but he has a very
"dirty" sound. Sort of like a non-polished Yngwie, but with a VERY
neoclassical style. You could say Rata Balnca is a band built
specifically so Giardino can play solos.
Anyway, they are still worth a try if you are into symphonic metal.
Try getting a song called "La leyenda de ada y el mago". The guitar
solo alone is worth it.
