    Greetings ye 'jamanoids......

Apparently James LaBrie has caught the attention of some of the NHL
journalists. He's interviewed in the May 2003 edition of the NHL online
    magazine "Impact!".

Pretty decent article. The author is evidently a DT fan.

    cheers,
    Phil

Not that I don't like 6doit, but did it really receive the best reaction from critics and fans compared to every other DT album? ----- Original Message ----- From: Phil Carter To: Multiple recipients of list Sent: Friday, May 09, 2003 8:03 PM Subject: LaBrie article in NHL online magazine

i have to admit that i no longer care about metalica and the fact that so many newer bands (read bands that teenagers like) covered their songs doesn't surprise me. i liked them before they sold out. about the pornoy statement, maybe the "classic rock" thing isn't such an extreme change. compare home to spirit carries on (and they're on the same album) or lie w/ alot of 6dos. but, like i've said, they can do a carpenters cover album and i'd buy it (although i could see them doing a cover of the james gangs funk #49 or Chicago's 25 or six to four). just my opinion, jacko

    >(although i could see them doing a cover of the james gangs funk #49 or >Chicago's 25 or six to four).

Intruder beat DT to the punch - they did a thrash cover of "25 or Six to Four" on "Escape From Pain" back in '90. I think "Funk #49" still remains uncovered in the metal realm, though.
