It's an instrumental from the first DT live album, "Live at the
Marquee." Great song to drive to.

Maybe my memory is playing tricks on me here, but I seem to recall the
audience member whose scream graces the beginning of "Bombay Vindaloo" used
to be on the 'Jam. Anybody else remember this? Are you the screamer?

I must concur with Partha; The Wheel of Fortune section is one of my
favorite Dream Theater moments as well. This is the part that begins at
5:30 and ends at 6:25 (but most notably before the distortion kicks in).
Note the line played by the guitar; it's strangely reminiscent of the
theme to the TV game show, The Wheel of Fortune. If you dig through the
late 1996 - early 1997 Digest archives you can find discussion on this
(assuming the archives still exist).

Lazer 103 in Milwaukee apparently played AS I AM last night on Kramp's
Krash Test against another song, and Dream Theater won. It will compete
again tonight at 8pm. You can also download it on www.dreamtheater.net/.

on tennis !
It must have got through at least 4mins of the song !
Wow normally it's RATM or RHCP.
I don't normally look at the tennis (I was waiting for the world cup Rugby
summary) but I was glued to the TV this time ;p
Wow a DT fan at Eurosport,

I concur. The Blind Faith keyboard solo is certainly one of his best, and one of the best Dream Theater solos. It builds up perfectly (again, name a non-synth sound that would make sense to conclude that climactic build, closing out the piano going into the Lord-like organ solo). I can safely say that whoever thinks that solo is out of place (or any part of it) has an outlook on music in general that is worlds away from mine.

Well, it's on Live at the Marquee, but it's also on a Guitar for the Practicing Musician (remember that magazine? sigh..) compilation disc called, interestingly enough, "Guitar's Practicing Musicians Vol. 3"
