from what i can see of the cover, i like it too.
not as cool as i&w (my favorite, but what do i know?), but much better than
    6doit or wdadu.
    just my opinion.

my first thought at seeing the cover....something
along the lines of, "hey, that looks like the kind of
covers that Mike Bahr would slap on his bootlegs....."

    that eye thing is weird.....

First of all, it is official artwork, for anybody who thinks it might be
fake. Portnoy authenticated it a couple days ago on his forum.

Secondly, yes it really is black and white. How do I know that? Well,
it's a direct copy of part of one of Jerry Uelsmann's photography
projects. It's the first time DT hasn't used original artwork, but since
    I'm such a fan of Uelsmann's artwork, I don't have a problem with it.
Besides, it does look pretty damn cool anyway. :)

Ah, found the link. Here's the actual artwork:
    http://www.uelsmann.com/gallery/gal2/pages/gal2-03.htm

By the way, for anybody who's never heard of Jerry Uelsmann... he's a
master of the darkroom. He could Photoshop stuff before there WAS a
"Photoshop". And granted, some people could now do what he did in hours,
but it took him days to get to what he wanted to do. He still works by
hand, rather than using a computer, too. Says something like old-dog-new-
tricks and all that. Heh. If you've ever seen the new version of The
Outer Limits on SciFi, his artwork is ALL OVER the opening sequences.

How old is that particular piece? I see a Residents theme in the book so I
wonder if the artwork preceeds them or not. I think it was wise for DT to
only use the road and not the book for that very reason. Very cool though.

On CD Universe under "Additional Info" it says "Parental Advisory." Can this
be correct? Somehow I don't see DT ever swearing that much on an album.
Anyone know if this is legit or just a mistake?

    That'd sure be funny :)
Maybe they'll pull a uncensored and censored version of this album. I for
one am wondering if James could pull of a convincing cuss :)

Be more specific. Funny like ugly? Funny like they write lyrics like freak
kitchen? Or funny like circus music at the end of Universal mind? :)

It probably stems from the guest appearance by Ol' Dirty Bastard. They
should've known there would be trouble...

Heh-heh, knight costumes. Good gimmick. My favorite pic is this one, of
