man, the road trip is half the fun! DT come to the DC area often enough,
but i rarely see them here (actually, my personal schedule the past few
local dates have been in conflict..). instead, i grab a bunch of guys
and drive to NYC, Philly, North Carolina, wherever...

Roadtrips to see the favorite band(s) are indeed half the fun. Some of the roadtrips fellow Dream Theater fans in the past have posted here on the Jam have been rather legendary. Especially the ones where Jammers meet for the first time and ride together. I enjoyed the post where we all got to hear about meeting Bafu for the first time.
