    $29 tickets for $41 !!!!

    bleeping ticketbastard.

one question for any of you who may have bought one of
the package tickets....did you have to pay convenience
charges and the such over and above the price of the
package??? and did that include parking??

Funny thing....if I'm reading the seating chart right,
the ticket I picked up for the Milwaukee DT show just
yesterday is in the section closest to the stage....a
few rows back, sure....but, hey, maybe not too far
back from where I would have been anyway, and on the
correct (John Myung) side of the stage, too.

But I won't be buying a t-shirt on this tour either.

What makes JM's side of the stage the correct side? Don't you miss the
closeups of JP's rock poses? :P

Say, that's nifty. When I typed in "Ozric Tentacles," not only did it
load up the cover for the brand-new Ozrics CD (along with other cover
images), but also several well-chosen Ozric tracks to listen to. Seems
to be pretty well-informed, although some of the close choices seem a
    bit odd.

I typed in several bandnames, getting more and more obscure, before I
finally stumped it with "Norther." "Kalmah" (a band similar to Norther
and Children of Bodom, also from Finland) was known, so that's pretty
    good.

I'm in digest mode, so I'm not sure if anyone else has brought this up on the list yet. I almost sent an e-mail after we got home (and that was after the drive back home to Sacramento and with a long delay due to construction!) because we have been feeling so mad and disappointed about this...

First off, I should back up, though, and say that, as always the band was terrific. Thank goodness for that!

You know those premium presale packages that we were told the band was not personally benefiting monetarily from and were to help finance lots of new audiovisual gear to enhance our, the fans', experience? Well, the equipment didn't work for half the show and there's lots of ticked diehard DT fans who probably got some of the *worst* seats at the Warfield rather than the best! Actually, I take part of that back...some DT fans didn't even *get* seats after paying a premium to get nice ones! (We had originally wanted to purchase gold, but it appeared to either have sold out or been otherwise not available by the time we went to buy our tickets online so we went with bronze instead.) We got to the venue, only to be told we were holding general admission floor tickets and any Warfield employee we spoke with said that "we got screwed" by DT merch/management if we had been promised good seats.

We eventually got seats, but it was through the kindness of strangers who, for whatever reason of their own, had decided they preferred the floor and swapped us for their middle of the back balcony (there isn't any more seats beyond that!) tickets. (I don't know who you are, but thank you!) Oh, and when we got to the middle of that back section, guess who we were sitting next to? People who paid $250 for those platinum packages! If you think we were mad, imagine how torqued they were! (They also were promised early entrance into the venue with their laminates and were denied.)

Maybe this was just a problem with the Warfield. I really do hope that this isn't going to be a sign of more disappointment at other venues and in other cities. If you are holding premium presale tickets, you may want to see if there's a way to verify that the tickets are indeed in the section of the venue that Fanfire promises before you ever get to the venue.
