the reports out of LA have boosted my anticipation for
March 18th's DT stop in Milwaukee quite a bit....

woulda expected some chatter on this list after
hearing about Messrs. Sherinian and Dominici joining
the current line-up for a mega-take on Met pt.
1....and the band's playing the entire WDADU album....

then again, no post would be complete without a whine,
so...ummm....what? nothing from awake? and nothing
else from I&W?? :)

I'm sure many of you have heard about the amazing show in L.A. last night. After holding the #1 slot in my favorite albums of all time for the last 15 years, I finally witnessed DT play the entire When Dream and Day Unite album. It was my 35th time seeing the band and WDADU aside, it was one of the best overall performances I've seen. The material off ToT sounds absolutely incredible live and the band is in top form. If you don't have tix for this tour yet, get 'em!

My personal thanks to MP and the band for paying tribute to a landmark album in the world of progressive metal (yesterday was 15 years to the day of it's release).

Um what's up? DT has been touring the US for a week now and no reviews, setlists, etc? Also I posted a few things about the Seattle show and the merchandise, but I never saw them come through on a digest, so I am going to sent them again...... ---YTSEJAM FILTER: Rest of message skipped because of attachment

Wow, very cool, 3 hours of DT with a good chunk of TOT and a good mix of other stuff. OK, selling the package ticket things were worth it to get the 3 huge jumbotron/diamond vision/whatever screens they had. Some cool merchandise, pretty pricey though, the most overpriced being a beanie for $30. ---YTSEJAM FILTER: Rest of message skipped because of attachment

They did some kind of Zappa thing. I don't know if it was a Zappa tune or a tribute in the style of Zappa but it was a killer instrumental and they kept flashing pix of Zappa on the big screens......... And the encore-Change of Seasons(the whole thing)

OK just looked at the t-shirts online and the ones I bought last night. The online ones appear to only have the European dates on them. The new ones have all the dates thru 4/28 Seoul, South Korea. At least the short sleeve ones do. On the long sleeves the dates for Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, Phoenix and Denver are MISSING and have some Japan and Korean dates in thier place. The Japan and Korean dates are also listed in thier proper place at the end of the tour. That kinda sux.

How the f%#k are DT more popular in South Korea than Australia? There must be some pretty f#%ked up musical tastes in this country if more people prefer 50 Cent and crap artists like that. And I know why. Our popular radio stations and video shows are drowning in rap. Play some real music for a change.

Just letting off some steam after hearing about the great shows DT are performing (but not in Australia). Now, where's the Prozak.
