Well, I would LOVE to get some pictures and everything, but I am not
exactly sure about posting them here. The main reason is space. It
would make the digest HUGE, and if you recieve it in the digest format
(as I do), it would be difficult (and annoying) toseperate the
pictures to uuencode them. I think that an FTP site would make alot
more sense, as long as you posta pointer to it. Maybe you could also
make it available as a YTSEJAM document, throught the listserv server,
although I am not sure how it would have to be set up...(same thing
that I mentioned before as making the FAQ available)

Just my opiniot though...

The video for PMU was filmed in Chicago at a club called the Avalon, a very small stage with minimal lighting. It was their first of three performances in Chicago this year the second two shows were at the Vic Theater, They were both good but the mixer at the second show was not as good as the one at the first show.

Well, I made some DT scans from video last night, and they look okay. Actually, they lack some things to be desired, because the program I'm writing was in-between development steps (I wrote something which introduced a bug and hadn't fixed it yet) so I had to use the software that came with the video board. My program is fixed, but the VCR is gone (other member of the family is using it). So, we'll have to deal with less-than-perfect pictures, but they aren't THAT bad. I will do some touching up, compress them until they are kind of small, and post their DATA in a format here because I don't have internet access (I have mailgateway access, but no FTP access because I connect through America Online). Then, someone could post them on an FTP sight.

What format should I post them in? I can do pretty much any format people want. I use Macintosh, and could perhaps post a Macintosh PICT version for quality, and then post a GIF version for compatibility with other software? (GIFs are generally low quality.) What formats are you all comfortable with?

Ok, the following is a Macintosh PICT data fork of the "Dream Theater" words. Copy the text IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING THE LINE WITH THE " ON IT, AND DON'T STOP UNTIL YOU HIT THE END OF THE LINE PRECEDING THE SECOND "

Then, paste it into TeachText (don't use MS Word or something like that; it will interperate control codes). Save it. Then, go into ResEdit and change the file type from ttxt to PICT. Or, you could go into Microsoft Word directly and open the file, selecting PICT as your import mode.

Here it goes. Let me know if anyone gets this to work.

So, unfortunately, this will have to be done by FTP. However, as I have already mentioned, I do not have FTP access. I will upload them to America Online and from there perhaps people with both AOL access and internet access can transfer them to the FTP site.

I'm also a Fates Warning fan and (you might have discussed this before) I found that FW "borrows" members of DT on its albums. Kevin Moore was featured on Perfect Symmetry and James LaBrie on Parallels. On the other hand, DT also mentions FW jokingly on I&W (I don't have WDADU).

So, what is the two bands' relationships? It seems that they are really good pals.

Also, anybody out there knows about early history of DT, when they were still Majesty?
