I also find this highly unlikely. Unfortunately, from the number of
people's addresses I now hold in my mailbox, more people didn't give this
some thought first. From the number of times I and my roommate have talked
to Mike & John P. about the net, while the found it mildly interesting, I
hardly think they're going to do much of anything "especially for us
netters," since we make up a pretty small proportion of their overall
fans. It's not like we got them where they are today or anything. Ah
well. I guess I'm going to keep seeing these stupid addresses for the
    next few days.

Sorry, if I want the band/fan club to have my address, I'll give it to
    them myself.

Wow. Almost sounds like a fan club deal, and if so, how much ya wanna
bet they're going to tell C-man "Sorry, but we have to have letters from
each of these people... Not being net-folk themselves, how're they going
to know you didn't just type up all them letters yourself?

Note: This is not a *flame* of C-man. This could be really
legitimate in which case I lose. But somehow I find this all hard to
just buy off on, given current circumstances and the way he went about
    doing this...

list for a Dream Theater promotional disc? Too fucking MANY! If you can't
learn to use your mailer, then DON'T waste bandwidth by sending mail!

    Subject: To Live Forever lyrics

I spent some time this afternoon writing the lyrics to "To Live
Forever". There are a couple of words that I can't decipher through
James and Charlies screaming, sop any help would be appreciated. By the
way, this was done off the versions found on "Consciuously Unreal" and
"The Dance of Eternity" boots. The one with Charlie differs slighhtly
lyrically, but the b-side was recorded with LaBrie, so I believe that
    James' are the "correct" lyrics.

To Live Forever Lyrics by Petrucci
    -----------------

If I'd started from the top
    And worked my way down
    There'd be no reason
    To live forever
    To live forever

    The starvation has turned
    Me outside in
    And the wind has blown
    Me halfway cross the world
    Across the world

    Oh, why was I born
    In an age of distrust?
    I'd offer some change
    But I'm out of breath
    It'll always stay the same
    Always be the same

Until I show a desire for revenge
My heart never waits for me to sleep
    ????? I have to die and be a ??????
    But there is no reason
    To live forever

Til I show desire for revenge
    ????? I'd have to die and ?? ?? ???
If I had to die and be a ??
    But there is
    No reason
    No reason
    No reason
    No (yeeeeaaaaaahhhhhh..uhhh)
    To live foever
    To live

By the way, I'm also doing the Change of Seasons Lyrics.

    Subject: Consciously Unreal (repost)

Hi there, I am reposting my post from yesterday because of all of the
requests for the free CD. I had a hard enough time finding it, so I
    am reposting. Here goes:

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi all YTSE readers. I am very excited today, because I found an
awsome import CD shop here in Boston, and they had about 5 (thats
right FIVE) DT live imports. I went in to buy Dances Of Eternity, but
they could not find the CDs for it :( bus since I had asked them to
hold it for me, and made a trip in, they gave me a good price on
another CD :) so I got a 2 CD set called Consciously Unreal :) for
$45. Pretty good price for 2 CDs. Anyway, this CD definately brings
up some ?s. Here is the set list, and then I will ask the ?s.

    Disc 1 (72 min 25 sec) Disc 2 (57 min 56 sec)
    1. Metropolis 10. Wait For Sleep
    2. A Fortune In Lies 11. Learning To Live
    3. Under A Glass Moon 12. Metropolis
    4. Surrounded 13. After Life
    5. The YtseJam 14. Forever
    6. Another Day 15. The YtseJam
    7. The Killing Hand 16. The Killing Hand
    8. Pull Me Under
    9. Take The Time

Now, here is the source of the ?
    Tracks 1-11: LaBrie
    Tracks 12-16: vocals by Dominici!!!

Thats right, you notice Metropolis, YtseJam, and Killing Hand twice,
well Dominici does the vocals. What does this mean??? Dominici has
done Metropolis!?? I thought that this was a new song. I wonder if
any of the other songs on I&W have been around for that long??? Does
anyone have any info about this?
As far as Dominici goes, I really think that he does a terrible job on
Metropolis, especially after hearing LaBrie only for so long. I also
think that LaBrie does a much better job in general on the older
    songs.

Two final things are that the store has several other boots, but the
second thing is also a little more interesting. The CD is from
Milano, Italy, and LaBrie mentions before Take The Time that I&W was
voted best album of the year (in Italy). I thik that that is pretty
impressive. If only more Americans would listen to DT. (oh, in Take
The Time, the crowd sings along (joyfully) the Italian lyrics)
