For anyone who's interested, you can pick up WDADU from the
holonet service. I ordered it a couple weeks ago and just got
    it yesterday.

I think I prefer James' version of The Killing Hand tho - it's
kind of hard to describe, but I just think he screams better than
Charlie Dominici :-) I think it may also have to do with the fact
that James has a better vocal range than Charlie...

    R.

P.S. Holonet's telnet address is holonet.net - enter CDC when asked for
    a username...

I was reading an article on Voivoid in ROX. It said that they shouldn't be
lumped in with spindly techno metal bands grouped with the likes of DT.

All I say is spindly? Techno?

    I think not!!!!

Well, MY sixteen dollars was in the mail withing minutes of reading this post!
    *grin*

Finally, a REAL fan club! Just curious though, what is the deffinition of a
charter memeber? The first X number of people to sign up, all those in a
certain time period, or just those who helped form the fan club?

Anyways, on other subjects, I for one DO like Megadeth. In that genre, I find
them almost the undesputed best (IMHO), especially since the addition of Marty
Friedman. The last albmun (Countdown) was a little shaky however. The lyrics
were excellent, but at times the sound was lacking an edge, and too
"overproduced", if you get my drift. It is however a fine albmun, and the
songs that I thought were somewhat weak on the CD sounded great when I saw them
live - much more energetic. To whoever said that they liked the recent albmun
but not the older stuff, I'd suggest they check out songs like "Tornado Of
Souls" from Rust In Peace, and "Peace Sells". (From the albumn of the same
name.) Granted not everything they've put out is a gem, but that's the same
with almost every band. (Except, of course DT :) )

Another thing. Obviously I don't mind discussing other bands here or I wouldn't
have added the last part. The way I see it, all DT fans are above average
intelligence (at least for metal listeners), and tend to like a lot of the same
music. In general, I think you would get much more thoughtfull, flame-free
discussions on this newsletter than on, for example the netnews group
alt.rock-n-roll-metal heavy. (Although there ARE intelligent people on there,
there are also a lot of, *ahem* idiots.) So, I don't mind opening discussions
about any form of metal on here at all. Hell, if people want to discuss
Billy Joel or Elton John I'd be glad to join in. (When I have the time,
    which isn't often.......)

    Later folks,
    Tim (twyse@acpub.duke.edu)

Could someone with the "Dance of Eternity" boot please mail me or post the track listing here. Also, how does the quality rate? Is this the boot with A Change of Season and To Live Forever? Before I buy it, I would like to have a little info on it. Am I right in that there is no DT boot list compiled yet? Thanks for any help given. Pete

Well, here's my first post to the list, so I hope it gets here. Anyway, hi.

If you're looking for WDADU, you might want to check your local Best Buy store (of all places!). There's a copy at my local store for $19. I'm hoping to save the money up quick and get it before someone else finds it (I tactfully placed it in non-alphabetical order).

P.S.--Any guitarists on this list? Want to get a tab exchange going?

    Later.
