In a Dream Theater-related note, how many of you out there listen to the
Galactic Cowboys? They are coming back with a third album, and have been
warming up with gigs in Texas. We've got a fantastic connection to the
band through the net here: my cousin is a friend of bassist Monty Colvin,
and another Ytsejammer has a connection to Ben Huggins. I wonder if we
ought to put together a GC mailing list... the "Kill floor" or maybe
something like the "Letters From Mars" list. They ahve no maintained FAQ
(that I have been able to find in my FTP roamings) and no discography. I
know of a total of four bootlegs of them in existence: this HAS to
improve. :) Also, I invite anyone who's into the band to get into some
group email chatter about them... we may eventually form a mailing list
    by default! hehehe

    What do you all think?

    Hi,
I just heard 6:00! It was really cool song!! James sang very wild, and
instrumental parts were exellent like Take the Time. I think you like it
if you don't impressed by Lie.

I also heard Kevin would make a new deal. Does anyone know details?

I tried to find the Shawn Lane CD, but had no luck...found the new
Fates Warning though...not too shabby, but I still like the older stuff
better. For anybody in the Toronto area, I can tell you that HMV downtown
has what I believe is EVERY FW CD on the shelf, including a Metal Blade
remaster of one from '85 (I forget the title).

On the topic of Shawn Lane, I can order the CD, but I would really like
some kind soul to make me a tape first...If you can, email me at
    greg@canisc.ibm.com.

    Later!

    Greg.

Well, somebody around here said (concerning the new album I think) that
Learning to live was around for some years before it made it on the
album and therefore had quite a time to be developped...

And I just wanted to say (on this very nice evening as i find myself
thinking a bit about my life and my current situation) that it really
must have bneen some time around, or other words, its really a great
    song....
And whatever the new album may bring us - even if it doesnt reach the
quality of I&W in some ways, I hope that Images and Words will take a
place in musical history which it has (IMHO) really has earned. I am
always overdoing things a bit but I really think that I&W is a work of
music that shpuld be respected not only in the metal genre....

However, gotta improve my english to express such things....

bye anyway and lets wait and see what comes out with kevin & dt (of
course i also would have prefered it as it was...but what could we do?)
