yeah, Kevin Moore played a song on one of the albums, and I think it was Labrie who sang on one of them too :) They're good friends from what I hear. And they are similiar to DT :) I like 'em :) Chris

Hm, what other quotes are there out there? As a tribute to the growing size of this mailing list (at least, I assume it's grow- ing, but with all these unsubscribe messages I get in my mailbox that never make it to ytsejam-request, well, um . . .), I suggest: "Race to the wall to find one more name appears" Hey, it also shows the increasing interest in DT worldwide! Just didn't want to leave WDADU quotes out of the running! :) -- orpheus@leland.stanford.edu

Hello again... I just joined the RUSH NMS digest, and was looking around, and saw some pretty impressive stuff. First of all, they have their own FTP site just for RUSH pictures, sounds, discog, lyrics, etc. They even have a specific gopher site for the same info. While I know that RUSH has been around for 20 years, and I thing 20 CDs, and DT is only a fraction of this, is it possible for us to start the same thing? I have no idea what is involved in starting a site, or setting up a gopher server, but is there someone out there that has not only the time to maintain such a monster :) but also the extra system resources for it... I don't think that it would take up too much disk space for now, or processor time, but does anyone have anything available. It would be great if we could have a picture site that can be maintained by one of us alone, and not have to rely on someone else updating everything. I remember that it took quite a while for the origional FAQ to be processed at cs.uwp.edu, and I know that some of the images were placed incorrectly, because the maintainer didn;t know what to do. Anyway, I think that it would be an awsome idea if it could be done...

Oh, also, I forget who was setting up a digest archieve, but has it been done, and if so, what is the site name?

Yes... Kevin plays keyboards on At Fates Hand on PS and James Labrie does backing vocals on Life in Still Water from Parallels.

    hi all....

    2 things:

    1) went to a show today, picked up these:

dt "home sweet home" cd boot cd "status seeker" promo king's x "it's love" import cd, with extended version of "six broken soldiers" galactic cowboys "i'm not amused" cd promo QRYCHE "REAL WORLD" PROMO CD (3 VERSIONS ONE) qryche "end of the silence" 2cd boot (sucks) damn the machine "silence" promo cd (anyone else listen to these guys?) ozric tentacles "jurassic shift" cd

the home sweet home is the exact same as the video from deer park i have, if anyone wanted to know, itis from sparks deer park, ny 10/4/92. the quality is really bad, i think my video is better sounding! It is the middle part of the show, cutting out the first song "metropolis" (of course) and cutting out the last song (take the time) and the encore (wait...live). anyone buying this beware: pull me under is labeled as status seeker. stat is not performed on this show. i am pretty sure they didn't do it at all until early '93. anyway, the status seeker promo cd is pretty cool, i haven't listened to it (probably won't it has never beenopened) it has a little round sticker with the majesty logo on it sealing the package.

2)whomever noticed the absence of "dogman" related stuff:

Well, now you've asked for it :) I was respecting everyone's wishes by keeping quiet about king's x, but as long as your sarcasm started it, i don't really feel too bad about mentioning them. I love the new album! Not only did they tune alot of the songs down to "drop d" tuning, (like much of seattle has now copied) they also have tuned the entire guitar and bass down another 1/2 step to c#, like in "pillow" or "pretend" resltin in wickedly heavy songs. the harmony vocals are still there, to my delight, (i wish ol' john and john would try a little harmony vocals) Anyway, not to take up too much space here, but overall the album is darker and heavier than previous ones, with more emphasis on the songs and not the playing. I like it alot better than "king's x" but certainly not as much as "gretchen ..." or "faith hope love by king's x". those albums are just masterpieces.

anyway, nuff of that. i have an extra promo "dogman" cd (the whole album) if anyone wants to trade for it

    later...

Dark green or bluish purple is a very good idea! Also, I have a T-shirt with a glow-in-the-dark picture and it looks like normal white in daylight.
