Anybody heard anything about the new album yet??.. I`ve heard that it`s being produced by Terry Thomas, and the band went into the studio in December to start recording, but that cane from the internet, so I don`t know of it`s validity

And for all you UK Dream Theater fans... at last the Live In Tokyo Video is being released here on January 31st!!! =)

Folks, there is one very simple reason why import CDs cost more. It's called the exchange rate. The dollar isn't worth squat in Japan, so it takes more dollars to get equal yen. A side effect is the cost in getting the CD over here. Those are the two biggest reasons import CDs cost more than they do in the US.

I don't know for fact, but I doubt that it has anything to do with the mastering. If someone can prove differently, I'm more than willing to listen.

RE: Backup bands for Rush...

I have seen a list mentioning both Candlebox and KingsX as openers but like everyone else I can't verify it.

I was wondering if anyone out there could get ahold of the UK cassette single of "Another Day" for me. I read somewhere that there's a live version of "Status Seeker" on it.

SHIT! Nearly forgot!!! DO NOT SEND MONEY YET! We need to know roughly if this thing is gonna work!

Thanks

I posted this a while back, but I lost access to my computer temporarily so now Im reposting it. I have a copy of the live at the marquee promo cd that Im willing to trade. My copy has pull me under and surrounded on it. What Im looking for in trade is a good quality compilation of DT songs on tapes. I want anything that isn't on WDADU and I&W, especially the majesty demos. I would prefer not to have live versions of songs on WDADU and I&W unless they are sung by a different singer than who normally does it on whatever album, or unless the song is signifigantly different or better than the original recorded version. The person who replies to me with the most interesting stuff gets the promo cd. I only ask for a dub of the songs, I ask for no money in return for the cd. Thanks! =Michael

PS. FOr the person who just sent his check to the fan club, have your bank stop payment on it, so you dont lose your money. --

Hey man! How goes! I totally want that live promo CD. I can trade a lot of good bootleg material, including "unreleased" songs such as (To Live) Forever, A Change of Seasons, Moon Bubbles, and the Majesty demo tapes... what do ya think?> You didnt leave your own mail address or I would have used it. Mine is below if you wish to reply (please do)

Well, I have live versions of James singing on the old Charlie songs A Fortune In Lies (of course), The Killing Hand, and Only A Matter of Time, as well as (To Live) Forever which was originally a Dominici recording back in the demo days. The Majesty demos I have include Another Won, A Vision, Two Far, Your Majesty, March of the Tyrant, A Late Summer Rain, Schizophrenia, After Life, Cry for Freedon, Death of Spark/Spock, Resurrection of Ernie, The Killing Hand, Ytsejam, Golden Slumbers, and Mission Impossible. What do you think?

Mike/garion@indirect.com

P.S. to all Ytsejam subscribers... you guys are great for trading stuff with! It's mostly thanks to YOU GUYS that I have this stuff, especially my counter part in the East, Michael Burstin, perhaps the only person in the world that wants this stuff as much as me... hehe
