Can someone please tell me about any DT fan club information?
Has anyone written to the address in the CD jacket or the "fax club" address
that is in the faq? I recall a post a few months ago were someone said that
they had written to the cd address and got information to join the fan club.

Has anyone joined this fan club? If so, what do you do to get in? How much is
it? What do you get? How soon do they send it to you?

Sorry for all of the questions....

Thanks alot!

PS - I have a Stu Hamm album called Kings of Sleep. It's really cool.
Is that his latest one or are there any newer ones?

Subject: DT boots

Sorry if you get this same thing twice. My system kinda had a mini crash and
I wasn't sure if the mail got sent or deleted.

A friend of mine got some bootleg catalog in the mail that if from company
that sells all kinda boots. It had some Dt boots in it. I believe he said
it had stuff like Dance of Eternity, Skyway of Nightmares, Classics lIve,
and Live in Long Island. He said that Live in LI was on listed as a single
CD for $25. In the faq it say that it is two parts. Does anyone know what
is up with that?
I would really like to have Live in LI because it has some cool demos.

Does anyone have Live in Long Island? How is it?
Also, I'm going to a record show this weekend and hope to pick up some more
DT stuff. After reading the FAQ I would really like to get the Dimension
Shift boot that has Afterlife, Status Seeker, and Only a Matter of Time.

Does anyone have this boot? How is it? How about the sound quality?

What boots do you all recommend? My friend has Dance of Eternity, so I don't
need any opinions on that one.

Thanks for the help!

Subject: archieving

Well, I have been archieving just about every digest since it started.
I have most of last year's (probably from somewhere around issue 20,
but I am not sure) and all of this year's since school has started. I
don't have any from the summer. I have 2 .ZIP files with digests.
The current one is around 480K. I could uuencode it and mail them I
guess once I get back to school. For some reason, I can't upload
files while telnetting in to my account from out of town. I also
could possible try to get them into the music archieves (cs.uwp.edu)
but am not sure how long anything would take...

I am interested in getting the "The Dance of Eternity" 2CD set as mentioned in the FAQ. Several places I called don't carry Italy CDs. One place said "many CDs from Italy are bootleg, and we don't carry bootleg material."

My question is: Does anyone have some phone # or address of a place I could call to get this CD?! I would appreciate it....

The ONLY reason I would want to see DT open for RUSH is that I think getting such a large audiences attention would blow thinngs wide open for them.

All I can hope is that they also headline a bunch on their own in support of the new album. As an opener, they'll probably do about 45 minutes - if that's the only crack we get at seeing them it'll really suck.

Once again I am reminded on how easy it is to be misunderstood in writing. When I said I (GENERALLY, not always) don't like solos, I meant solo as in only one person on stage at a time just playing mindless chops to show everyone how fast he is, not an extended improvisation with the whole band. Improvisation with a band is a whole different story since the interplay with other musicians can be much more interesting, although mindless chops can ruin this too.

I think that DT could NEVER open for ANY band! I would never see them open for anyone, for fear I'd be too disappointed. I think that DT could NEVER open for ANY band! I would never see them open for anyone, for fear I'd be too disappointed. I think that they are such an attraction by themselves, they shouldn't have their set limited or cut short. I've seen them three times, and I hope the shows keep their trend of getting longer and longer and longer. What do you say folks, an all day Dream Theater-pallooza?
