Yeah, I liked Lars' drum solo... At Denver they ended up throwing sticks
at each other, and even Jason sat in....

As for Mike's samples, I was talking about the vocal stuff, which I only
saw in Tokyo, since they didn't do it here... I think this was the best
of his solos, becasue it did have some kind of feel to it... Larry
Hartman said that they don't really feel like a song, and I agree. His
solos are more like, "hey, I got some new roto-toms, let's try 'em out"

Neil's solos are quite definately a song... They do continue to get better.

Also, in Denver there was no guitar solo, per say... Just 'Eve'...
And someone who knows the band should *BEG* John Myung to do a bass
solo... I just couldn't take my eyes off of him all night for fear I'd
miss something... If anyone can duplicate his tapping in Metropolis,
you shouls 1) show me how, and 2) quit wasting your time with computers
and make a solo record...

I really, REALLY enjoy the Tokyo video, even if there is no Metropolis
or Learning to Live (or Status Seeker, or Change of Seasons, etc...)

        Consciously Unreal

If anybody knows a mail order source for any of these,
would you please email me at:

Thanks Jason for sending me the FAQ. That cleared up quite a few things...

I was breezing through the latest FAQ reading the "What is 'Another Day'
about" part, and I remembered what I thought about that song when I first
heard it. Listen to the lyrics (forget what the video shows) and isn't
that song about suicide? I mean, "die another day"? "Find another
reason to stay"?
Just read the lyrics with the theme of a person stopping a friend's
suicide and it seems to make sense to me.

No kidding! I was thinking about that today, in fact. Why doesn't he solo
more often? I would love to see more of it (and I hope we do in the future).
I told one of my friends yesterday that I wanted a CD with just John Myung
playing crazy bass for an hour! Okay, a little extreme, and I doubt he could
keep going on that huge six-string that long.
