I recently read a post mentioning Crimson Glory, and yesterday I saw a copy
of their tape, but passed it up because I knew nothing about this band.
Should I have picked up this album?
Secondly, I've started receiving tapes and promotional material from bands,
such as Mercury Rising, Devine Regale, and Inferno. The stuff I've heard so
far has been great, but I'm actually surprised that more bands haven't taken
advantage of my offer. So I just wanted to remind everyone for the last time
(cuz I know that those of you not in bands are getting sick of reading this)
that I am accepting any quality material - signed or unsigned - to play on
University of Pittsburgh radio during my metal show. The music scene
here isn't L.A., but it isn't dead either. Also, if I get the time, I plan
on reviewing the material sent to me, so bands can use the review of a college
radio station rep. in their promo package. If you're not in a band, take my
address anyway and pass it on to any band that you go see. I'm hungry for
unheard of material, and I'm always dying to help the local-underground music
scene. So if you're in a band, don't pass up this opportunity for free
exposure, it's usually not this easy (I know, I did it for 4 years).
Send CDs (preferably) and/or tape AND PROMOTIONAL PACKAGE to:

Hey KAI,
Crimson Glory was an excellent band lead by guitarist John Drenning, a friend of
mine here in Sarasota, FL. The band is no longer together, the one guitar
player (Ben Jackson) formed his band Parish, and John has formed a few bands his
most recent attempt is a band called "The Crush."
The Crush is totally different than Crimson was. It is more grungy and down and
Hippyish.
Crimson Glory put out three albums. There second was their best (In my opinion)
it was called "Transcendence."
Their vocalist "Midnight" is also living here in Sarasota, he is one of the best
vocalists I have ever heard, he has feeling and range. He is not with a band as
of now and that is a shame.
There first two albums are worth picking up. The first is self titled and the
second is as I said: "Transcendence"
Check them out.

I have always loved the way that TTT sounded on LiT... I also think
that it sounds good most other times they do it... I really love the
sound on LitS...

I don't klnow.... I know that on just about every video that I have
from the tour... the guys look really relaxed and like they have
having a good time... John P always looks pretty relaxed, even on
some of the more difficult sols... and Mike P just about always looks
like he is having fun up there... (any of you see the show from
Toad's in Ct???)...

Well, I do know from when Mike was on the radio show, he said that
they were kinda dissapointed at the attempt that someone made on the
tabs, which is why John P is doing them himself... While I have no
idea... that is what he had mentioned on the show...

That is just about my exact opinion... I want to see how a band can
play live... w/o electronic help that they have in the studio...
That is just part of the reason why I think that DT is so great...
they can pull off such amazing music live... That's part of the
reason why I think that so many of us collect boots...

Why does that sound soooo familiar... I can confirm that it was
released today... After hitting one chain store (Sam Goody) for the
CD (their stupid clerks never even heard of FW) I decided to go to a
cool shop that usually has alot of great CDs... at a price... but
they get alot... I asked them, and they said that they expected it...
but had no idea why it didn't come in... So, I went to yet another
shop (one of those small little hole in the wall shop that has such a
tiny selection... but everything I ever look for...) well, they had
it... I payed about $15 for it... but I can confirm that it did come
out today... cause I got it... (the shop that I got it from also was
the first place in the city ever to have heard of LatM (whihc I got
there) as well as alot of cool other stuff... it was also the only
place that I could find an I&W poster... they didn';t have any new
ones, so they sold me one off of he wall for $2... they also have
some cool cardboard things (I have no idea what they are called) that
have pictures of CD covers on them... they are about 1foot x 1 foot,
anc cost about $.50... I got an I&W one, a Counterparts one, and a
few others there)

I'm not sure where you all live, but here in Seattle, Tower Records had a bunch of the albums there so I got one. I wonder what's going on? It's a pretty good album, but I'm not sure I like it as much as the others... yet. It always takes me a while to start liking albums for some reason. Anyway, it's out here in Seattle. *shrug*

Sorry, I know this is not going to help much, but the Japanese version has been out for a while ... I'm not into FW (yet) so I haven't got it. What's pissing me off more is that the new Slayer (due out yesterday here) doesn't seem to be anywhere.
Can't wait for DT and Queensryche either.

Wait a minute, guys...
B4 you all go spreading rumours! Where are you people getting this information??!?!? I got it this afternoon, just before five o'clock. Why can't everyone find this new CD?? I have been enjoying it for a while, today. It WAS released this morning, Tuesday, July 26th. I bet that if you go to the store, they will have a few copies lying around. I am just thinking that the store people are INCOMPETENT and don't know what they are talking about or that they are just spreading misinformation for the fun of it??!!
Good luck in your search,

Thank you for assuming that I don't have LiT or haven't seen GC sing the TTT chorus. In fact, I've had LiT for many months and I thought having the audience sing the chorus was weak. And James didn't sing the rest of the song well at all. The "..pensive fear.." stuff is just too hard on his voice. I was also at the Dallas show where GC sang the chorus, which was OK, but only a temporary fix (James still didn't sound good). In fact, a couple of days later when I drove down to San Antonio to see the same bill, GC did not sing TTT. And there is no GC on DoE.
TTT does have awesome Petrucci/Moore interplay, but TTT is too high for James to sing and there is no viable way to sing the chorus night after night. So drop TTT from the set list.

I don't know about it being pushed back, but I drove all over the city yesterday looking for a copy and no one had it. They all expected it in, but it never arrived. I called all of the places this morning and still no one had it! I was really looking forward to getting it yesterday because I celebrated my 21st birthday. It would have been great to have been able to listen to new Fates on my B-day. Oh well. I even missed the the first half of work trying to find the damn thing. I've got class tonight, but I may drive around a bit more after work to try and find the thing. I was actually impressed that the people I talked to in Musicland actually heard of FW. Shocking. Sorry to fill up the list with non-DT but I had to post to let the people who were able to find a copy know how lucky they are!! Scott

Hi ppl,
I was wondering if someone could help me out here. A friend and myself need to contact Dream Theater's management(or even booking agent). We have called Atco(in New York) we are able to get through but it seems like no can help us out(we've called, faxed, left messages but to no avail!) it was basically "Dream who???". Even if the fan club has a Fax number or phone number they maybe able to help us out, but if someone can help us out with a contact number for DT's management it would really be appreciated. Thanks for reading and hopefully someone out there can help us out.
Cheers
Anthony.
