If he wrote the DRUM transcriptions, chances are he probably can't help
much on arpegiated chords. Just a note.

    Hello friends,
After about year or so of just reading this list, I have decided to
join the ruckus and throw in my worthless thoughts. After seeing Rush in
Montreal a few weeks ago, I came to the realization that Rush and I have
parted ways. I expected them to go the way of more complex technically and
sonicwise, but as it stands, they have gone "back to the basics."
I guess I wanted them to go in the direction of DT. For someone as
feebleminded as me, it took a while to let the thought sink it. But once I
got over it, I now have seen the light and the light is on DT! Since I only
have I&W, I bit the bullet and bought WDADU, LATM, and the video. The
purchase set me back 90 bucks, but hell, after watching the video, I would
have paid 200 bucks for it.
I do have some gripes agains the video. The mixing was poor
(especially on the first song, I can never remember song names),
and Metropolis wasn't in it (like someone mentioned a long long time ago).
What really got me fuming was the fact that they edited the production video
so they would be of the proper length for TV. But I guess if they hadn't, the
TV stations would have done it themselves. Better do it yourself what is
inevitable than have someone else butcher the job.
I have rambled on too long, sorry for your time and I hope to finally
one day catch DT live (I got into them just after they did a show in Montreal,
    what timing...)

P.S. Since I cannot get enough of DT and supposedly the new album won't be
done anytime soon, can anyone recommend any other band(s) in the same vein as
DT? i.e. technically challenging pieces, wierdo time signatures, lotsa
keyboards, and excellent musicians? Thank you for your support.

    Rodney
