Well, I asked the person that posted the Sept 20 date to AOL about
their source for the date... Here is their reply... I guess that the
    date is reliable...

Hi. I am very interested in the Kings X show. Off the top of my head, here is my DT rarity list:

-Majesty demos. Packaged first generation copy, off which I can make a dub. -Rarity tape. Includes A Change of Season, To Live Forever, etc. (100 mins)

Audios: -Buffalo, 1-93 -Buffalo, 5-93 (FM) -DC, 12-92

Videos: -Deer park, 10-92 -Cincy, 1-93 -New York, 3-93 (A Chage of Season, Eve, Another Hand) -San Fran, 5-93

Let me know. I'd like to trade.

    Kevin

In that case, why not send it as a postscript file?

    >I will ask that you send $ 5.00 strictly for >_shipping and handling_ (stamp, envelopes, paper, etc.. cost)

Yeeouch! Five bucks seems a little steep! How many pages are we talking here? I have no problem with the idea of Jay being compensated for his hard work of having written out these transcriptions (it must have been a big job), but let's be honest, unless this thing is 30+ pages long, $5 is pretty generous to cover costs alone.

Make no mistake, if the transcriptions are accurate, they're easily worth $5. But know that you're paying for costs as well as Jay's time and talent, not simply the former (unless I'm missing something). But if he's worried about covering costs, why not just go with the postscript option, which has none?

Well, latest news that I read from this Tracy person on AOL is that there will be no Metropolis, part 2. Again, as I mentioned before, this person said that their roommate is DT's tour manager. I can't guarentee any news that I post from this person... On;y passing along what I read... -- +----------------------------------------------------------------------+ | This world is spinning around me | | This world is spinning without me | | Every day sends future to past | | Every breath leaves me one less to my last | | Dream Theater Pull Me Under Images and Words | | Michael Burstin Brandeis University | +----------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Let's Go Pens Let's Go Pens Lets Go Pens Let's Go Pens | +----------------------------------------------------------------------+ For info about Dream Theater, finger mikeb@cs.brandeis.edu

I was wondering, was it here on the ytsejam a few weeks ago that someone advertised some Kings X sampler? If you sent in your name and address, you would be sent some sampler tape or CD. Does anyone know any more about this?

Next, does anyone know the difference in John P's three different guitars? There is the one with the red, yellow, blue faces, and the other one with the kinda purple and grey faces and there is also a plain black one that is usually used on Learning to Live. I would imagine that they each have some sort of different tuning. What anyone have any ideas about what those tunings might be?

Next, somewhere, I think in the FAQ it said that one of the Majesty Demos became that latter end of Change of Season. I think it may have said Cry for Freedom. I pulled out my demos the other day couldn't find anything like Change of Seasons. Do any of you know what they were talking about?

Next, why on the I&W's tour would James say things like "Well we have been on the road for X number of months and we have some time to work on some new stuff for ya. This is a new one we just put together, this is, To Live Forever". That is total BS. To Live Forever is old. There are versions with Charlie singing it. There is also a version that James did for his singer audition so its obviously not new.

Any word on the new album?

Any word on the Images and Words music book?

I think that enough stuff for now.

    See ya!

Hoping to get Lost in the Sky in the mail in the next day or two, I can't wait!

Someone on alt.rock-n-roll.metal.progressive said that Puppies on Acid has been made into a full lenth song and will appear on the new album. What's up with this??
