Something off the subject, but since a few people mentioned the new
    Savatage record . . .

It was, of course, done here in Tampa at Morrisound Studios. I've heard
some disturbing stuff about it, but can't verify anything because I
haven't actually heard it yet. It seems that their producer is a grade A
asshole. He was too lazy to mike up a complete drum kit -- he had Jon
Oliva tap out the kick and snare on a Korg M1! They went back and
overdubbed real cymbals later. Also -- again, I can't verify -- the bass
player was apparently too lazy to come down and overdub his parts, so Jon
ended up playing bass. Anyone heard anything to support any of this?

We know that a couple of the guys from the band will be answering
questions in the Rocknet Forum of Compuserve on Thursday night, September
8th at 10PM. See you there.

    Hi all,

SDV is beautiful - ethereal - haunting. Kevin's keys are magic (as always) and very emotional - almost sorrowful on this one.

You're right Tim, 1 minute is not enough! Deb

My friend was in a music store (The Wall, I think) that other day and they had a little display sign for Awake and the picture was like some broken down old statue looking into a mirror with some kinda head or something in the mirrow. He said at the top it said "Dream Theater" "Awake" in the same color and same font as images and words.

This may also be what the ablum cover looks likes instead of the clock/eyeball thing.

I'll definately have to stop by and check it out!! He said he offered them money but they wouldn't sell it.

The Site (ftp.music.net) now has a 50 sec. sample of Erotomania...it sounds like it starts in the middle of the song...like during a solo or something...so if this is the beginning...then this is way too cool for me! I can't tell you people how much I'm looking forward to this album...every part I've heard as just been incredible (especially the little piece of Space Dye Vest...this is the absolute perfect song so far!!!). Just think...29 days...and counting!!!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------- According to the circle of fifths, and the pattern of sharps and flats: If the alphabet continued as notes progressed (Using Major Key Sig's) (i.e A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, etc.) eventually the key of Z Major would have 4 sharps.
