I just found the eroto1.mp2 and eroto2.mp2 files at the ftp site.
Does anyone have an .mp2 player that will run in DOS? The one at the ftp
site will only run in windows. If not, could someone covert it to
something else like a .wav or .au or .voc?
Also, I check out the small bit of Space Dye Vest. I like it alot.
It sounds very haunting and spooky. I hope the rest of the song is cool.
BTW - I was at a record show the other day and they had a ton of DT bootlegs.
Skyway of Nightmares, Lords of Sound, Live in Long Island, Home Sweet,
Dance of Eternity, and a few others. These were all on CD and there were
a couple of other audio tapes and a few videos. I didn't get any of them
because I already have a fairly good collection which includes Lost in the
Sky (if you have that one, you really don't need any others!).
I also saw a DT backstage pass for sale. It wasn't very cool looking.
It wasn't in full color, it was kinda pale-red and white, it kinda looked
like the images and words cover.
I'll be going to another one in November, maybe they will have some new
stuff by then, like singles, promos, posters etc...
I can't wait to start buy all of the new boots from the Awake tour!
Oh, the only thing I did pick up was a Galatic Cowboys single of I do What
I do. It has the LP version and a radio edit version.

the mirrow. He said at the top it said
"Dream Theater"
"Awake"
in the same color and same font as images and words.
This may also be what the ablum cover looks likes instead of the

Yeah, the cover on the Awake promo is like that, but it's in black and white.
It's a zeus-like statue looking into a mirror, but seeing a different face.
At the bottom right of the mirror is a spider and his web. The landscape is
like a desert, with the moon and some planet up in the sky. Imposed over the
moon is a clock which (of course) tells the time as six o'clock. The DT
symbol is very small and lies underneath the mirror.
So, I described at least 3 song references on the cover, but there may be
more.

Hey Mike,
I noticed from your e-mail address that you are also in Madison. I am
kinda new to town myself and was beginning to wonder if there are any
DT fans at all around.
Anyway I was wondering if there is an ftp site where I can get a .au
player for my PC. All the stuff that I have now only plays .wav.
Also if you get any answers and .mp2 files could you tell me. Thanx for
any help that you can give me.
You don't have compuserve by any chance do you?

don't Windows.... so does anyone have for DOS? Thanks...
also, (i know, this has nothing to do with DT) but how do I subscribe to
the Rush mainling list? Also, I was on the syrinx ftp site and i think
the faq is corrupted... everytime I tried to get it the uncompress thing
said "Corrupt imput" whats the deal and does anyone just have the
umcompressed version for download or could someone post in the a.rnr.m.p?
Thanks.

I just read your report and I really hope that it is not true. I have the
release now and I like it.

I can't believe that. Paul O'Neill is the producer and has been there
producer for many ablums now. Also Jon Oliva is the Co-Producer. May be it a
was an agrreement to speed up recording.

It should be interesting to follow this up. I could not tell the difference
between the Korg M1 or the real thing, my ears aren't trained that well yet.
The Sound on Handful of Rain is has much more keyboards and less guitar than
Edge of Thorns , but it still is a good album.

Well, considering I live in DC, 4 of those shows are pretty much right there (I don't consider Va. Beach a long drive...). Denver was only because I was driving out to visit relatives in Idaho anyway. It wasn't really a *planned* thing until I had already made my trip plans. ;-)
> Also, what was the average cost of the tickets for all the shows?
The most I spent for tickets was $13, and that was for the 2nd Baltimore show. All the others were $5 or less. The expensive part was gas, and there were multiples for us for all the shows, so we were able to split gas and hotels.

That sucks. I recieved my GW in the mail and it didn't have the sticker. I remember getting a Pantera sticker from them, I think it was GW. Anyway, I wish they wouldn't have skipped me. My guitar case needs some good stickers. Maybe it is just random or limited. I would think that all subscribbers should get one though. Oh well, no big deal.

That's the guy's name! I couldn't remember it so I didn't put it into my original post. According to a very reliable source/friend of mine (I don't like to speak for other people), this guy actually started his career as a producer by accident. He was working for a label and someone told him, "hey you, go produce this band." Lots of people (including several well-known musicians and audio professionals) around here basically consider him to be a joke. I'm now quite anxious to hear this record for myself.
