I feel like singing for Mike, so if anyone wants
to sing along with me, just do it!
Next time will be on May 5th...
Bye then!

I like it alot, and I've listened to it more than I've listened to
Little Earthquakes (but then again, I bought it when it first came
out).
If you like Hard Rock (*NOT* *HEAVY* *METAL*) female vocals, then you'd
probably like this. It's in the same vein as Heart or Pat Benatar.
In its genre, it's pretty good. Imaginative in places, fun in others;
always interesting. And the final Etienne Suite reminds me of Kate Bush's
"Hounds of Love".
So it's worth listening to if you like Tori or Hard Rock. It's not worth
listening to if you only like piano and vocals.
PS. The not heavy metal note is there because I keep hearing Y Kant Tori
Read described as a bad heavy metal band. Compare it against Rock
Goddess and you'll see what I mean about it being Hard Rock and not
Heavy Metal.

Glad to see that you have discovered them. I am also a big fan of John
Payne, but I have not been successful in finding out what else he has
done, besides the help he gave to Geoff Downes on _Vox Humana_. As far
as the tracks, and favs go, Who Will Stop The Rain? is an epic in my
book, but I like all but 1 or 2 songs on the album, so...
They have an even newer album out, called _Aria_ but it was a UK only
release so you might be able to find it at an import place. Before Aqua,
John Wetton of King Crimson was the lead singer, and the band had a
little bit different style. You might want to try _Then and Now_. It
has both their top hits from the early 80s, and a few new songs on it,
one of which you might recognize. If you have any other questions, don't
hesitate to ask or e-mail me personally.

Babs, Although I don't have an Orion Blue Book here with me, I would guess
your guitar's value at around $150-200, depending on condition. Also, do you
have a case for it? A good hardshell case would add a little bit to the price,
too. Hope this helps in your decision!

Hey There,
Thanks to everyone who filled me in concerning the ontos of
YKTR. I'm actually pretty excited to get it (even if it does suck) just
to see how she does in a rock milieu. I pulled a GIF of Tori from those
days off of the net, and it is pretty funny to see her dressed up like
Lita Ford.
DT content: Is the Winter included on the Subconcious CD the
infamous cover of the Tori Amos song?
Ooh ooh, I just remembered a thread from a while ago that was
never resolved and I wanted to submit my $0.02, but I forgot to. (My
wife calls it philosopher's disease.) Anyhow, the word Erotomania does
not mean an uncontrollable, abnormal sexual desire (you guys were correct
in labeling that nymphomania). It does mean an abnormally strong sexual
obsession esp. the delusion that one is having an affair with a superior,
stranger, etc. . .. (That's from Random House incidentally.) How do you
think that relates to the other two songs in A Mind Beside Itself?
Consider the line from Voices that reads Sex is death, Death is sex. I
don't know, perhaps I'm analyzing way too much again. There does seem to
be a hint toward an obsessive relationship or a stalker or something.
A penny (not really) for your thoughts. I'm going to be anal
about the lyrics for a little while longer in order to see if there's a
different theme that I just being too obtuse to recognize.
May the forces of evil become confused as they try to find your homes!

Hmm... I really do like his version... One of the things that I especially
liked about it is the little samples used during the song... I'd like to

one I like better, though.

If you like music you may like echolyn. It is the alternative to alternative.
Their new album "As the World", released recently by SONY is starting to
raise eyebrows. The band comes from a suburban town outside of Philadelphia
and has quite a world-wide buzz, thanks to INTERNET. Chat with echolyn and
learn more about their music when they appear in Center Stage.

Besure to "fade" left and right the second or third time you listen to
it, because at some parts the two trios split up and each play on their
sparate channels. So you can hear two songs going on at the same time.
I've heard this CD is quite good. Hope you like it.

I love the list and all, but, I tire of reading 500+ messages

OK, Any U.S. tour dates for DT yet, I'm dying to hear when they're
(if they're) coming to Boise, ID. I'm going to QR on the 11th of
May, and I'm really trying to get backstage passes (My local radio
station is giving them away, mucho trivia, I can handle it).
They also play The Silent Man on a regular (very regular, I heard it
just an hour ago) basis.
Please don't cut on people because they don't like Type-O, even if
they rip them apart. I ripped FW and look where I got. (I just
bought Inside Out recently, and Monument DOES ROCK!)
My band is finally playing some DT songs! We're going to learn Under
a Glass Moon, I'm gonna play The Silent Man, Wait for Sleep, and
Space-Dyed Vest! (I'm a closet keyboardist!) We've finally cracked
my guitar player and he loves DT.
BTW, who was it who requested that SoundFX (a music show) play the
Silent Man video. Dammit! You beat me to the punch! Too bad they
can't play it... I was gonna send my request today, but it was last
night that it was announced. HEH! I'll request something els then...
See ya' next

MasterMind has just recently signed with the Dutch East India Trading
Company for the North American release of MasterMind III, "Tragic
Symphony." It is scheduled to be released the last week in May. The Dutch
East India Co. is our nation's largest independant distributor, and the
album will be available at retail level, so ask your local CD store to
order it. In addition, MasterMind is presently working out possibilities
for a USA tour to support the release.
To get onto the MasterMind e-mail list, forward your address to:

Again, sorry about the non-DT info, but this is a real good opportunity to
