ACoS + Shadow Gallery, etc...

    Hi,

OK, I can't wait any longer... ;-) I'm listening to ACoS now
(from Dance of Eternity) and that one section in the middle around
15:30-16:20 has once again blown me away... (The instrumental section
where the keys and guitar are flying and then Kevin has a gut wrenching
solo and everything comes back together... Well, OK, that probably
happens more than once in ACoS ;-) but this particular section grabs
me away from whatever I'm doing every single time. I love it!!).
Anyway, to those of you who have been fortunate enough to hear
a promo of the new ACoS EP already, I was wondering (hoping!) if this
section was still in there. The harmonies that the guitar and keys
create are just phenomonal and I worry that they might not sound as
good if they're changed much.... I was going to wait to hear it for
myself, but after hearing it again just now I could wait no longer...
    Thanks for any feedback!

On the subject of Shadow Gallery, I agree that DT fans have
to pick up their "Carved in Stone" album -- I'm sure many will like it.
I like it quite a bit, but I'm afraid that it isn't going to last that
long for me. We'll see though.
One thing is that though they do sound somewhat similar to
DT, don't expect them to be as good going in... Don't expect too much
    or you may be disappointed.
If you like Shadow Gallery, you should also pick up albums by
the other two bands on the Magna Carta label: "Magellan" and "Cairo".
They are not as similar to DT as Shadow Gallery but they both have
    excellent music.

I especially love Magellan's albums -- if anyone wants to
hear a sampler of any of those Magna Carta bands (or other stuff) just
drop me some email. I could probably do them for free if I don't get
too many requests (or for tape trades). I can't afford the time to
do custom samplers for everyone, but I'll put together one or two
tapes that should give a representative sample.

BTW, I was able to find Shadow Gallery in Baltimore, MD at a
place called "Planet Music" (a huge music store). There was only one
copy, but I know they can order it (I've also seen Magellan and Cairo
at that store). The online stores have Shadow Gallery too.

The Magna Carta label is also coming out with a "Tribute to
Yes" album (not sure of the title) which will have a bunch of Yes
songs done by the Magna Carta bands and maybe a few other bands.
It is supposed to be out toward the end of September I believe.

So, let me know if you want to hear a sampler of the Magna
Carta bands and what other bands you want to hear. Send the email
    directly to me.
