Just to let inquiring minds know, the RISING POWER CD's are
TOTALLY LEGIT. Repeat NOT A BOOTLEG. NOT A BOOTLEG. Just a very
recently pressed album from back then!

Please excuse my ignorance--I am a relative newcomer to the Net--but what
exactly does "IMHO" mean? This has been bugging me for some time now...

Hey, all you Philly metalheads out there, do you listen to "Rockers" on
WMMR with Ray Koob (who, by the way, was in the list of thanks in
"Awake")? It's a hard rock/metal show on at midnight on Friday nights.
Anyway, they did their annual top 20 albums of the year last week and I
only caught the top 12 or so (which, I am pissed to say, indicated an
extreme lack of taste--STP #2 and Soundgarden #1??? It must have gone by
sales...). If any of you have a complete listing, I'd be interested in
    getting a copy. E-mail me at: weyc9212@kutztown.edu
    Thanks in advance!

I've tried to send this twice and it hasn't worked, but I'll try again!

Jeez, I can't believe that I've waited this long to bitch about this
transcription! The notes are pretty much correct, but the whole song
(originally on 7-string) is transcribed for a 6-string in a really fucked
up tuning which would be totally inpractical and make the middle section
impossible to play. So, for you guitar heads out there (this may be
plainly obvious), but what I do is tune the guitar to the lowest
    6-strings of a 7-string: from low to high B E A D G B. Watch out for
the 2nd string, which are different than tuning the whole guitar
down to B (a la Carcass). If you play it this way, the only thing you
can't play is the last two bars or so of the solo (which are REALLY hard
anyway). When you re transcribe the middle section, etc. all the
fingerings are really natural; it's quick, but very playable--the rest of
the song is easier too. So if you're a non-music reader--you were right,
it's very fucked up to play as they have so idiotically tabbed it out.

If anyone's interested in seeing the basic parts tabbed as I mentioned,
e-mail me, and I'll see what I can do (maybe someone can post it).

BTW, Guitar World has an email address (it's in the new issue), so tell
    em you want more DT!

    Later,
    Dario dmz2@columbia.edu

IMHO = In My Humble Opinion. You should also get used to stuff like
LOL (Laugh out Loud), ROTFL (Rolling on the floor laughing), BTW (By the way),
    and a few more.

Good occasion the message of Brian Cox in Digest 615 : he said he bought a record of ... Tori Amos. Here in France a strange phenomen appears to me : many die hard DT fans are also huge Tori Amos fans, as I am for sure. I talked of that with James La Brie when he was in Paris for the promotion of "Awake" (August 94) and he answered "You know, I am a huge fan of Tori Amos. I love what she does, lyrically and musically. And Kevin loves her too" What is your opinion about that ? Are there some Ytsejammers that are also Tori fans ? If you don't know her, try her... You won't be disappointed ! I'm also interested in Tori's mailing list. If you know about it, please tell me. Thank you.
