Well, it appears that we are getting some new subscribers... so for
anyone looking for info, you can obtain a copy of all DT info over the
web through my DT page... Simply point your browser to:
http://cs.brandeis.edu/USER/UGRAD/mikeb/dt.html I have all of the
FAQs, discogs, etc there (as well as a copy of my boot list). Also,
if you are looking for sources for these tapes, many of us (myself
included) will trade for blanks... If you are looking for CDs, you
can check out my sources page by replacing dt.html with sources.html

Finally, if you don't have a web browser locally (I recommend Netscape
for graphics browsers and Lynx for text based) you can telnet into a
web browsing site at www.njit.edu and logging in as www This will
allow you full access to the web... although the browser is not as
    nice as lynx....

Well... I just said that Magellan is more keyboard dominant than DT... which is true. I never said that they were BETTER keyboards than DT. Just more. And sometimes more is good. Alas, you are right. They need to learn the term dynamics. For they have none. :) The keys are always just THERE... not hidden in the background, or very quiet and seriene... they also are mainly used for chord sturcture, not melody. The guys singing is great, very emotional, the keys seem to back him up. Very well. But standing alone, they're just not Kevin.

That's right, it meanes "wait a minute" or "just a second" or something like this. BTW, King Crimson song name is just "Matte kudasai" , isn't it? I checked the "Decipline" CD, and it says "Matte Kudasai". These days Ytsejam digest skipped and send to me, so I'm not sure about Mike Bahr's CD. I'm so interested in it, so would anyone like to explain about it ? Thanks, Kaoru <gch06672@niftyserve.or.jp>

Hi, Ytsejammer! Tokyo show on 21st was AWESOME!!! James recoverd from the sick, and the play was near perfect!! Set List was not changed, but they played a short tune of Pink Floyd! The tune was "In the Flesh?", which is from "The Wall". They played only instrumental part, and it was so great. :):) I think other Japanese Ytsejammer will write about the show, so I don't write more now. After the show, I asked Myung that if they are going to play some cover tune, and he ansewerd there will be some changes. It's so cool! DT went to Steve Howe's show today, so I suppose they will play some Yes tune tomorrow... I'm not sure, but I'm so looking forward to tomorrow show! Bye for now! since i'm in a rut for money, i've decided to sell my Lords of Sound 2 cd bootleg from the milwaukee summerfest show. the sound is very good, and the performance is pretty good except for James's singing, which was rarely really good on that tour anyway. for some reason a few minutes are cut out of Learning to Live. i replaced the euro 2cd case with the american kind (like joe satriani's time machine comes in) which is much more durable and easier to use. the booklet has a bunch of nice pictures of the band and an essay on them

I'm sure all ytsejammers know about the DT newsgroup on the usenet. Today I went to check it out (AFTER today's digest, of course) just for fun, and it wasn't there! Does that mean that it is no longer, or is it just that there aren't any new posts? I hope that gets sorted out.

While I'm here, all you European DT fans please start chanting "SCARRED! SCARRED! SCARRED!" at the shows whenever possible. We've gotta put some pressure on the boys sometime!

Sorry to waste the bandwidth here, but I deleted the message from the guy who said he figured out SDV for piano...I sorta play and can't pick out anything to save my life, so I'd love to get my hands on a transcription (the score books aren't out in the US, at least not in Beloit, WI, and they're probably guitar anyway)...can anyone help me?

Has anyone seen the Awake or IaW guitar transcription books in the U.S. yet?

Also, has anyone heard anymore on when the EP is coming out?

Or how about any new bootlegs besides "Kicking into a Dream?"

Or any new videos and singles coming out? (P.S. Does VH-1 ever play DT?)

Do I ask too many questions?

What is the meaning of life anyway?

    Thank you?

On Feb. 21 DT gave a concert at Bay NK Hall,Chiba prefecture Japan. James's voice got better than last week show(See Kaoru's review.) But unbelievable experience happened as follows.......

After the show, I have the good fortune to get the "Back Stage Pass!" So I could meet them, talk with them, take a photograph with them, get autographs of them and etc....

Though I didn't make preparations for meeting DT, casually I had a printed article of ytsejam, so I gave it to John Petrucci. Of cource they knew our existence, and they were reading it cheerfully. :)

JP wore a bandage around his right finger. When I asked him what the bandage was for, he said nothing. But I think for his overwork.

They willingly contacted with us, and gave us autographs. I got autograph even on my back stage pass. :-)

I play the guitar, so I talked with JP about the guitar. Though he asked me if my guitar was made by Ibaneze, unfortunately my guitar is not. I said "Valley Arts." But I lost heart when he didn't seem to know it. Is it unknown, or just only for my bad pronunciation?????

After they went away, there remained a bandage JP wore on the table. So I took it and I also left memorable room. :)

Last Saturday's night was very wonderfull for me and I'll NEVER forget the event of that night.........

And my last comment.........Thanks Kaoru. You made my dream come true!

    Bye.

P.S. Please someone let me know the schedule of DT European tour. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Kawami Atsushi (E-Mail: kawami@ae.keio.ac.jp) Kawashima Lab. Hi all !

Got three more questions.........(I recently asked for the songlist on Awake-tour).

1: Who is the new keyboardist, name and history on him (is he permanent )?

2: Is there any opening act on their concerts in sweden (Malmoe) ?

3: Can anybody tell me where I can buy DT bootlegs and concertvideos ?, if not in Sweden----- where and how ?

That?s it for this time !!

    Fates Warning!!!

At least according to today's concert advertisement in the big newspapers here in Sweden... I ordered my ticket this morning and it costed almost $30, which I'll gladly spend to see DT and FW in the same show! Wonder if anyone will notice the big smile on my face for the rest of this week? :)
