I already posted about this once or twice... If you want your homepage
linked on the MFP-list, mention it as follows :

    URL:http://my.homepage...

If you want to change your name on the MFP-list to *another* name, or
the name of your *homepage*, use the following statement :

    NAME:your-name-or-the-name-of-your-homepage

Due to lack of interest, I rewrote my MFP-list program so that *every*
last URL you mention gets linked on the list... The ones mentioned
using the "URL:" statement always get precedence over any other URL,
and will also be displayed in *bold*. You only need to include these
options *once* a month. There's some more information on my MFP-list
page... If you guys have any suggestions on how to make the list
better, let me know :-) I'll see what I can do...

Btw Mika, I *did* like you page :-)

now, I do not claim to be Mister Graham B.,
but I, too, would recommend the Ozrics.
However, they are not quite as techno nor as metal as any of the
aforemention'd bands. Instead, OT are more of a trance-pysche group,
great for when one wants simply to sit and chill, although they do have a
    few more intense tracks.
Strangely enuff, the Ozrics offshot a band call'd 'eat static' which is
very much techno, and which exhibits the same sonic creativity and sense
of humour found in OT offerings.

    good luck finding them.

    Bafu, welcome back.

Okay... Rycher, first off reply to my damn message so I can make your
tape for the compilation tape swap! Second:

Jason Becker needs the money, so I will be at the concert. That;s the
    ONLY reason.

Toshi's name alone puts a bad taste in my mouth... basically, he ripped
me off for $200 on an ADA MP-2, which he wasn't even legally allowed to
sell. We got in a huge dispute over that ( I thought he was a really nice
guy. This hit me totally out of the blue. ) and we've been at odds ever
since. He has great technique... but I didn't gain much from his
    lessons... I mean... you're paying $35 a lesson for 10 positions of 10
scales... why not buy the Guitar Grimoire? He never taught what to do
with the scales... you had to figure it out yourself... so I just felt
like I was progressing more on my own. But anyway...

Toshi has the worst reputation in Chicago among musicians. It's sad,
because he brings it upon himself. I thought he was a really cool person,
and then he fucked me over... and then I hear the stories about how he
screwed over so many other people. I hope he's grown up a bit. I can
imagine him trying to get me kicked out of the show. Hehheheheheh

It will be interesting to see what the reaction to his playing is. He had
one really cool song, and then all his others sounded the same... just
chugging along on that low B. If you're into speed though, he's quick. I
really want everyone to go to this show. With luck, Toshi isn't trying to
screw Jason Becker over too... I just hope the money goes where it's
    expected to.

    Hello again,

I have already had a few requests from the jam asking if Martyu
Friedman will be playing in the benefit... the answer to that is a
definate maybe :-) He is about 95% sure he will be there and says he
is going to do everything he can to be there but won't know until
about 1-2 weeks prior to the show whether or not he will be there. I
guess Megadeth is in he studio now and his schedule will revolve
    around that.
A few other guys we are trying to get but not confirmed yet:
Paul Gilbert and Gary Hoey. If you want more info or to be added to
the mailing list for the latest line up updates and the such, just
drop me an email at (rycher@xnet.com). This is the best way to be
sure to get the newest and most up to date info about the show before
I post it the the general internet population :-)
Rememeber that this is a charity benefit and all the performers
are doing it for the cause and are not getting paid. Thanks again and
I hope to see quite a few of you there...

It can be found at: http://home.earthlink.net/~ryanwebb/vanhalen/vanhalen.htm
This is the entire song in Real Audio format. Instructions for downloading
    are listed on that page......

This song REALLY rocks, IMO....I just love it....If you're a Van Halen fan,
check this out, you won't be dissapointed. Let me know what ya think!!

    Hello.

I'm a danish DT fan and I was
wondering when Mike or John P. give
    a drumclinic or guitarclinic in
Europe in the near future ? Mike is
giving so many clinics i USA, and
it's a very long way from Denmark to
USA. The trip would be too expensive
and though I'm a very enthusiastic
fan I have to put a limit to my
lust. Please join us in Europe more
often, me and a lot of other fans
    would appreciate that.

Howdy, Kids. Syrinx here once again to entertain you, so everyone get
    out the milk and cookies.

As one of the Ozric authorites here, i can tell you alot about
them. Imagine if Yes got rid of Jon Anderson right after Tormato
(keeping Rick) and smoking ALOT of pot. That's OT. The badn is led by
Ed Wynne, who is the giutar player and does a bit of the keyboards.

Eat Static is a band formed from the former Drummer (merv) and
the keyboard player (joie). they have a few albums out, and they're very
    techno-ambient. they have 3 albums, but i don't think they're very good.

if you want a good techno-ambient band, i reccommend another
ozric offshoot band: astralasia. they're on the magic eye label and kick
alot of ass. i have about 4 of their albums, and they're just as trippy
as ozriz (i think that's becaused I THINK ed leads this band too, but i'm
not sure. they never _DO_ tell you). astralasia is, imo, ALOT better
than eat static. one thing tho: if you wanna buy these puppies, they're
imports. there are _NO_ american releases. gotta have a contact in
england to do it, which i do. if any of you want any of eat static's
_OR_ astralaia's stuff, just e-mail me. i can send you a sample.

Sounds stupid......but use earplugs when listening to loud music. :) Most of
the time, the reason you turn up the music is so you can FEEL it in addition
to hearing it. With the earplugs, you can still feel it, AND it won't screw
up your ears. Who says you can't have your cake and eat it three?

I'm listening to I&W right now, and TTT just faded out. It got me to
    thinking.

TTT is a pretty heavy song, and Surrounded starts out pretty softly. If
TTT had a strong ending, Surrounded really wouldn't fit that well after
it. But the fade almost makes the listener expect something that starts
the way Surrounded does. I hear what the guitarists are saying, that
you want to hear the end of that solo, but I think it really compliments
the album, when taken as a whole.

    Just a thought.

No Rush tickets for Boston this weekend. :( That bites a lot, because
if they go on sale next weekend, no one's going to be there! They'll
all be in NY! TicketShafter sucks. A lot. Oh, well. Thanks for
    indulging my whiny mood. :)

    >Yup. This applies even if the trademarks are a blatant attempt to rip off
the other's notoriety; i.e. my car. A Chevy Beretta, named after the
handgun. The hadgun's manufacturer took Chevy to court over it, but the
car is still called a Beretta, because no one would confuse a car with a
     pistol.
Hmm. I never think of a car when I shoot mine. The image of
a white cockatoo (or whatever the hell it was!) comes to mind...

    >She doesn't understand playing music loud (unless it is her music!). When
we are in the car she always turns down my stereo (I can't talk to you
when its that loud). Hello! I can't hear it when you are talking...

Ha! That's exactly how I think. I even tend to ignore what
anyone's saying, no matter how much I like them. I am very
selfish when it comes to both listening to my music and
driving my car (or listening to music when driving my car).
If you have to yell to talk to me, then so be it! I want to
snap soneone's neck when they reach over to turn down the
            volume (grrr!).
