Whoa! "Kick ass!" (as Cartman would say...) That's really kewel..no more

Sorry to burst your bubble, but...yes. Sort of. About two months ago, one
of the bigger chain stores (K-mart, Target, Sears, Penny's, whatever) had
an ad for a "space-dye shirt". So, I'm assuming that somewhere in the
universe, there is the matching "space-dye vest". Ya know, so you can wear
maybe a black shirt and then the space-dye vest over it. Because
pattern-on-pattern = visit from fashion police. And then you have to wear
    the Levi's wide-leg jeans and 6" platform shoes...THEN you're stylin'!

Yeah. He is saying that he feels pretty lucky to *have* DT in this
    world.

Eckie sometimes people make a mistake. Sometimes people spell a word
wrong. Sometimes people leave a word out. But that doesn't mean you have
to point out every single fookin' one. But since I know won't listen to
me, I'm going to do it to you. [the word 'sucka' can heard in the

Hmm, not one or two, or even three. But SIX times you spelled the word
    'thEIr' wrong.

Hey Stephen, I have no idea who you are but I totally agreed with what
you said here on the jam if you're reading this. I think all of you
guys that bring down DT just because of this and that are totally
pathetic and not DT fans at all. In my eyes, you're just party pooopers
or something. I know that I love this album. Fading vocals, only
backround keys, etc...?? What a joke! Get a life you jerks! DT is one
if not the greatest band that I've ever heard and like STephen said, I
would love to see one of those alternacrap groups go try to play even a
ballad by DT. Guarantee they couldn't.

Hey all, I am proud to say that the best radio station in New
Hampshire, WGIR Rock 101.1 is playing BMS in regular rotation. On the
weekends they offer what they call "Block Party Weekend". It's when they
take requests from people from what they want to hear. This station is no
hold barred. If you request it and they have it, they will play it. So,
I'm driving back to my school place last night (about 1 am) and I think to
myself, "Hmmm, maybe I'll stop and use the payphone and call to request BMS"
I pull over to a rest stop with a payphone, low and behold, I didn't even
get out of the car when Jo-Jo (the DJ) announces "By request, here's a DT
block" I could have screamed. They played BMS to start, Pull me Under and
Learning to Live. Then Jo-Jo said that she has recieved more requests for
this band (DT) all weekend long than almost any other. I was so psyched! I
figured I'd share my enjoyment with you! : ) Talk to you later, J.P.

I guess that you meant "So if it really is considered one song,
they'd not be playing only a part of the song on future tours", right? But
this isn't true, as I pointed out above. Just nitpicking, but I agree with
the fact that APSoG is 3 songs (before the acoustic part, the acoustic
part, and after the acoustic part -- I don't remember the number of the
acoustic part, but it is probably X or IX).

=09I do like the "cheesy" (I don't know exactly what this word means, but it seems pejorative every time I see it listed) original intro to TTT much better than "Puppies on Acid". Is there any problem with that?? Does it change your life?? Am I infringing some law?? :-) (just a silly comment to show you that it is not a problem that people have different opinions). But I think that it is ok in "The Mirror".

=09And what would life be if we all liked the same things??? I claim that the 'jam wouldn't have so much information/experiences exchanging and we wouldn't have 100 'jams a day. :-) Indeed, if everyone liked the album the same, people would only say: "I like it". I could go on with this subject, but I think that I'll stop now or else we would only have on message in this 'jam.

    =09Life would stink.

=09Hope this helps you see that it is a good thing that it's not a crime for people to have different tastes than yours.

Weel, "Peruvian Skies" has a very similar beginning to "Bleeding Me", indeed. And if you don't own/know any Metallica discs, you should really think about getting one of their earlier albums if you're into heavier/thrash metal. Today they are more commercial-based, but I'm yet to see some group produce an album as good as "Master of Puppets" (well, I have only two albums that are on the same level of this one: I&W and Morningrise).

Metallica is the band that created thrash (along with Megadeth) as we know it. I mean, if they had not existed, there would be a chance that many of us would not even know about heavier styles of music (I know that at least a considerable quantity of friends of mine, including me, would never had paid attention to heavy metal if it were not for Metallica -- the *very* first CD I owned was Metallica's "Metallica", aka "The Black Album").

    Ok. Enough digressing...

    Hi, all.

Could someone tell me please what are the problems with glam?? Why do you think that the Eighties had bad metal? I don't know what you mean when you talk about glam, besides bands that used more make up than my mother, but I really like a lot of 80's albums (all the good Metallica's albums were from that decade, some Megadeth etc) and don't think that the dressing style has anything to do with the music of a particular artist. I'm really confused with these posts to the 'jam.

Really curious trying to see what is wrong, Roger...

Well, summarizing what I've understood from this and other posts, I think that the producer is someone who gives opinions on the job the others are doing :-), while the artists and the sound engineer are the people with the hard job. :-)

Well, actually, I've said: "You can't get an idea of what the song sounds like if you only listen to its first 5 minutes". And it is indeed the case. Just look at how many variations the song has.

But talking about the indices, I saw an interview with Ray where he stated that it was an error to put them there (technically those marks are not indices, but beggining of tracks, blah, blah etc), that he would like people to hear to the song entirely and not only its parts. If I ever see it again, I'll send its URL to the 'jam.

No..but basically what i meant to point out with that msg is that when they played the PoA intro...they right after went to the original intro... meaning that they didnt replace the original..they just attached PoA at the begining..
