    Hello Chris !
I`m sorry, but i don`t know about any sound samples on Arkhe, but=20
i can tell you this much that if you love "images and words" by=20
Dream Theater and Empty Tremor`s "apocolokyntosis" you`re going to
love Arkhe too. Ok, i admit that the production could be slightly=20
better, but it`s by no means bad. The music is excellent and the
vocalist is a deadringer for James LaBrie in places. Like every good
progressive release you have to be patient and let the music grow=20
on you, but when it has, you`re hooked. The album has received great
reviews everywhere i`ve seen. My advice is that you buy this album
without hearing it first. You won`t be dissapointed, not if you
love melodic prog metal ala Dream Theater "images and words" era.
Hope this helped you out a bit. =20
Contact me if you`d like to talk more melodic prog metal.
    Best Regards,=20
                 Bj=F8rnar !

    Hey everyone -

Got a few questions for anyone out there. I hope you can help me out.

First off, can anybody forward (through private e-mail, of course) me a track
listing of the new Manowar "Hell On Wheels" LIVE CD please? I've been to a
couple of web pages, but they haven't listed the tracks. I'd really
    appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Secondly, I have been considering getting the new Stratovaius BEST OF CD for a
while. I finally found a track listing, but I was hoping that any Strat fans
out there can e-mail me and let me know if it's worth getting. I mean, is it
an accurate representation of their career? I went to one web page I found,
and the guy listed what he considered to be highlights of all their albums,
and a lot of them did not appear on the BEST OF. I'm also a little concerned
because my fave Strat song of the few I've heard (Father Tme) is not listed on
the BEST OF. (The only CD I have of theirs is "Episode".) Anyway, the BEST
OF is around $32 or so; the individual albums are listed as like $14 or so.
Would it be worth it to shell out the $32 for the 1 disc, or use that cash to
get maybe 3 of their studio albums? Please let me know. Again, thanks again,
    and I'd appreciate any help.

Now back to your regularly scheduled Jam......... Matt T.

Interesting study in human nature, though, wasn't it. The need to be the
first on the block to have the news, caused people to throw reason out
the window and not even validate the information you posted.

I am trying to sell an effects unit and I am getting nowhere and since I
have friends here, and am a desperate bastard, I will try this here. I
know vocalists need effects, and I know that keyboardists never have
enough. If you are one of these two, then please buy my effects unit from
me. I have an ART Multiverb 3, does almost everything that you would want
to do for vocals or keyboards. No distortion or rotary effects, but I
think it does just about everything else. I am selling it for $150 or if
you have a good drum machine, I will take that in full or partial trade. I
have no where else to turn. No music store will take it for even $75. I
have tried the rec.music.makers.* newsgroups and they ignore me. I have
offered in trade for almost all kinds of cheap gear and am told no. If
nothing else, can one of you people who are the kindest of ytsejammers
post this somewhere on the web to one of those great classified sites that
I can't access because of my blindness? I will take any offers through
private email, so don't take this to the list let it die here. I am
    begging for your help.

I just purchased a CD of a local band from here (Ithaca, NY) named Red Letter. I bought their only CD, "True North." Their vocalist/guitarist, Robby Aceto used to play with David Sylvian. The album was released in '95 but a fellow King Crimson fan has been begging me to find the CD.

Overall, it's somewhat progressive. It features 2 keyboards, a guitar, a bass, an electric violin, and drums. I've only listened to it a few times...it sounds like a cross between King Crimson, Genesis, and something out of the 80's pop era. It sounds like it can go on an adult contemporary station...yet it's still pretty progressive with some amazing guitar playing. It's a pretty spacey album overall. For more info on Red Letter, their home page is:

    http://www.lightlink.com/~doug/rl/index.html

It has various sound files on it too. I highly recommend this CD to any King Crimson/Marillion/Genesis fans. It's actually pretty damn good...

I downloaded a cover mp3 of Eve a few weeks ago from http://www.cyberhighway.net/~washburn/Eve but now as I'd play it back it doesn't work, maybe because I used Netscape. I went back and wanted to download it with I. Exploder but the user "washburn" doesn't exist anymore on this server. Pls if you have this eve.mp3 - the cover, not the original! - e-mail me! Thx!

    Hey everyone,

Well, as if I don't have enough to do, I've taken on yet another challenge, the Superior Faq.

All is going well with it, I'm sure some of you have heard about it but if not well, you have now. For anyone who has a question about the band, let me know. You can always email bernd, thats simple enough to do but I'm trying to find out what type of questions he gets asked, so, email me privately and let me know stuff you wanna know. Of course, send an email to bernd if you want the answer :) I'll send an adres for the page when it's more "complete"

I'm quite glad that The Way It Used To Be didn't make it on to the album. It sounds like a bog-standard pop song, with that cheesy delayed-guitar intro . . . very unimpressive.

You Or Me is also quite dull . . . its tempo is much too slow, and the chorus just annoys me. Hey, I can't help being a Desmond Child fan. I grew up to Bon Jovi and Alice Cooper.

I haven't even listened to the radio edit of Hollow Years yet . . . that would probably annoy me too. I must be in an "annoyed" mood today.

It's a large country between Holland and Poland.

    Hi,

The word is that the DT tour dates in the UK are:

April 10 - Wulfrun Hall, Wolverhampton April 11 - MDH, Manchester April 13 - The Garage, Glasgow April 14 - Rock City, Nottingham

    Are these confirmed, yet?

If so, do any UK jammers, know the box office number for the Wolverhampton gig?
