I have come to the conclusion that the radio samples used
at the end of You Not Me and You Or Me are the same, with
the exception that You Not Me has both channels cut off
    at the song's end.

What are the two channels talking about? Well, here is what
    I could interpret.

In You Or Me on the left channel, which starts around 5:38,
a man is talking about the antichrist to some interviewer
Some of his dialogue includes, "My position was that if
anybody who's a Christian would go there, they're not only
allotting themselves to the demagogue, they're allotting
themselves to the antichrist! Which by the way, this man
is an antichrist. ...some more statements...
(Other person "Did you see the video")
I didn't need to see the video to call the guy an antichrist..."

In the right channel, the dialogue begins around 5:52.
The only dialogue I can make out while the song is playing
is "If you can truly appreciate..." and then obviously is the
sentence about how Jesus came to this world to save us
    from our sins.

If anyone else can make out any of the dialogue, email me.
I'm interested in trying to comprehend this radio chatter.

I just read an interview in a dutch magazine, where JLB says that Kevin
Moore couldn't improvise and Derek can. So now they can do more
    improvising during concerts.
I don't really understand this comparison, because I think every player
can improvise. It's just that the better you can handle your instrument,
the better your improvisations might get. Of course Derek has more a jazz
background, so maybe that's what he meant.
I read that JP said he didn't like to improvise either, and he wrote his
'improvised' solos before the show, or something. I wonder how much
improvising they do during this tour. Anyone know about this?

How more one sided can you get?

    3.Al sends me nothing.

Obviously, I am not as cheap as you. I sent you the tapes I promised. You
sent me NADA! Doh! I guess I just gave you another reason not to send me
anything... Just use the money for what you owe me on all the cds that
you buy regularly and review here on the jam. Just buy something good.

without further ado, I'd like to say hello after watching quietly for about a

I saw that there are even some German fans - those who are around Hamburg,
    please contact me.
To get some own opinion, I can only say that I saw DT 3 times in one year and
it was always a holy-day and - everybody should be proud to produce something
like FII, but face it - maybe its not the shredding everybody wants (I just
wait for M Part II), but it's still a fucking good piece of music.
By the way, how can I purchase a NHL jersey: Canada National Team No. 94

I've thought about this and decided to post... I would say this belongs
on the jam since Prism records is the biggest source for DT boot cds.

The reason why Mike thinks it is fine for people to wait months for cds
is because he is the market for DT boots. I agree that Mike should clear
out his backorder before he starts new projects. I dont know how his
system works but if he says he has sent out 1-xxx of a boot title then
everyone up to xxx should have that cd within a week (in the US) via the
slowest of snail mail. If this doesn't happen then Mike is a liar.

Come on, Mike clear up you back order. Your back order should be cleared
out whenever it takes longer than 6-8 weeks to get a cd to someone after
they paid for it. It is poor business to treat customers like crap. It is
ridiculous to have someone wait 10 months for a cd. It is also ridiculous
to ignore email from customers with ligitimate complaints and concerns.
Another good reason to clear out your back order is the fact that if you
dont, some of your customers waiting 10 months will go to the better
business bureau or seek you up on mail fraud and you will be in big
trouble. I'm not currently owed anything from Mike and I am very hesitant
about ordering anything else just due mainly to the length of time to get
my cd plus the emails with "what's the deal with my cd?" that I have to
    send.

If there was someone else out there making same quality cds and better
service, Mike would be out of business.

does anyone know what the differnece is when buying blank cd's why some of

piece? i was at best buy and the maxell brand package of 10 cost $50 and
the generec brand cds cost $20 for a package of 10. why is there such a
big price difference? is there any difference in quality like its error
probability or being able to be read in more players or something like
    that? thanks for your help.

    Metropolis II,
originally thought to be recorded for an EP this summer, has been pushed
back. According to Mike Portnoy, he wants to release the near 30 minute
opus with the next full studio album. Mike also informed me that the
    band
should be back in the states as early as June (he's hoping) so expect a
    summer/fall tour!!!

I haven't seen any mention of this here and remember don't

While there are plenty of reasons that this shouldn't

OK, people, everyone seems to be jumping on the bandwagon and criticizing
Mike Bahr for his 10-month backlog on TDOW, PT, etc. I just wanted to
remind everyone that these 4 cds were exceptions, as a result of a bad
decision he made. He has apologized profusely, and i personally DON'T want
t hear any more apologizing :) I understand that people are currently
getting new orders in a timely fashion, and the backlog (in which i am
included - PT) should be taken care of soon. I understand, and i'm wiling
to wait (yes, even longer than 10 months, because the other Bahr CDs i've
ordered have been delivered quickly). Why can't we let bygones be bygones
and enjoy Bahr's boots (all except for you, Mads :)? Don't assume that
because he messed up once and got a huge backlog that this is the way he
runs his business. I do agree, however, with KAI's suggestion that Bahr
stop releasing new projects until he gets rid of this backlog. However, it
sounds like the backlog will be eliminated before his next project is done
anyway. But i'd reccommend continuing working as he is, fulfilling the
backlog orers as well as the current ones, because it's not fair to make
the new customers wait in order to fill the old orders (if he did that, he
WOULD get huge backlogs regularly). Umm, and stuff.

And contributing to the shared birthdays thread (cuz you know i'm just a
little trendchaser), i have the same birthday as Albert Einstein, only 101
years later. March 14, 1980 is mine.1879 for him. And i failed math 2 of my
4 high school years! I must be Einstein reincarnated.

OK, well, that's enough out of me. For now. Muhahahaha! Whoa. I said moo
and didn't even notice. I amaze myself sometimes. Heehee. Lata moo!!

    Hey again -

Got an open question to any Manowar fan, since I would consider myself somewhat of a novice regarding Manowar. I was jamming to their Best Of the other day, and I was really getting into their song "Herz Aus Stahl". It sounds like German, and I am guessing that it translates to "Hell Of Steel", since that's the title of the compilation. :-) Anyway, my question is does that song appear anywhere sung in English? Maybe their new double live or a B-Side? I really want an English-sung recording of the song cuz the melodies and music are great. Private e-mail please, or post to the Jam if you think it's worthwhile. Thanks again in advance...

    - Matt T.

BTW, if anyone can forward me the complete track listing of their new double live album, I'd be much obliged. :-)

Hiya, Sorry I havn't posted in a while but I havn't seen a thread that excited me in the least, (Flames just don't get me going although I do support Bahr).

My question is this: would anybody who has the cabability be willing to make a CD-R of the Pre-As teh World Echolyn disks? Before anyone goes screaming about bootlegging and stuff I am ONLY asking for this because all of the past disks are out of print (I did buy As The World and am still looking for When the Sweet turns to Sour on disk so that the former members of Echolyn can get their money). I have searched everywhere for backlogged disks. I even asked the guitar player of Still (now called Almost Always) and the keyboard player for Finneaus Guage all to no avail. I have these tapes due to D-man and another cool guy but I REALLY want them on disk so I can listen to them in my car. If anyone is willing to sell me an original copy of any early Echolyn work I would be MOST grateful and be willing to pay decently for it. If no one is willing to give up their original, could anyone PLEASE help me with the CD-R's?

Think of the profit of 8 month's interest at 12% you can rake in before paying out expenses. Other businesses do this but they call it a rebate. Oh is this debate over? sorry!
