Does anyone out there know where I can track down the Blues Sarceno
"Plaid" CD? Some bastard stole mine a while back and I really want to
get it again. Can't seem to find it anywhere, or I'm looking in the
wrong place...
Thanks,

My mate leant me this CD recently, and for only a few listenings, I seem
to be liking this CD. The band is quite keyboard based, but still with
some good 'balls and chunk' :)
Anyone else heard anything from them? If ppl want, I could possibly
upload a mp3 of one song to Dr Mosh's site...

To those who are concerned, I'm unsubscribing for a couple of weeks because
being in Budapest doesn't really allow me to regularly check my inbox in
Estonia. Be seeing you here on June 16. Some Dream band will be playing.

'Ryche has indeed changed over the last 15 years. They used to be my
favorite band (I even have a tattoo of the tri-ryche on my arm!), but was
extremely disappointed with "Promised Land" and "Hear..." IMHO, "Warning"
and "Rage" were THE benchmark albums for progressive metal. Goeff Tate is
truly a unique vocalist; anyone who thinks he is "just another screechy
singer" hasn't listened to him much and should have their hearing checked.
Seriously, this guy is in a league of his own.
I think they bit hard on the alternative scene at some point along the way
and destroyed their defining sound. Clearly, their best work was done in
the 1980's. Also, what's all this dissing of "Rage?" I think it is their
best album! The production is totally over the top, with big sounds and
totally maddened vocals complete with heavy doses of effects. It was
put together very well. How about songs like "Walk in the Shadows," "I
Dream In Infrared," "Gonna Get Close to You," "Killing Words," "Screaming
in Digital," "Chemical Rebellion" or "I Will Remember?" These are great
tunes.

Isn't that what Mike Bahr originally titled WDATU? I hope some boot
company didn't make it a 2-disc and jack up the price. That'd suck.
I'd compare the track listing with the Prism Records page if I were

So what's up with all those off topic posts ! For Skadz's
sake, talk about Dream Theatre, because I need more stuff
for my website "Dream Theatre - Under A Rumour Mill". ;-)
Seriously, this list isn't so bad. A lot of the info I've
got on UACM originates from the 'Jam (of course, all info
gets double checked before it's published).
My point is, if there's something going on with DT, it'll
make it's way to the 'Jam... And meanwhile, we can pretty
much talk about anything we want. If something turns into
a thread, there's obviously enough interest in discussing
that particular topic. And if that topic doesn't interest
you personally, so be it... That is why they invented the
Page Down key. :-)
Anyway... if you are looking for specific DT information,
check out the URL in my sig. Find all you need on my site
if you Take The Time. ;-)
Oh... and if you're asking yourself "how the hell does he
align those paragraphs so neatly", I *swear* that happens
by itself. ;-)

Wow, the tickets are going on sale already?? Does that seem a bit early to
anyone else, or am I in a freaky time warp all by myself?
Hey sis, did you really mean "Fillmore" box office, or did you mean the
Warfield box office ? It's entirely possible that they could sell tickets
for the Warfield (I guess), it just seems a little odd to me, so that's why
I'm double checking.

Well, Amazon.com has opened a record store. ANybody else check it out?
They have a "progressive rock" section.
The Bad News: Their "concept album" section under Prog Rock includes
things like Tommy, Yellow Submarine, and other things that aren't really prog.
The Cood News: They do have Op:MC and Empire listed there, as well as
things like Thick as a Brick, Tales, Close to the Edge, etc.
The Cool news: Their Progressive Rock essentials page lists Images & Words!

Speaking of cd-r boots, any sylvian or fripp fans on this list? I'm
wondering if anyone reputable out there is making cd-rs of sylvian/fripp's
Damage, which I have on tape but would like on CD. If availability goes
away, it is the job of the fans to distribute the music themselves.

I checked the paper (Guardian, SF Weekly) but didn't see any announcement
about the show or tickets. But Charoenkwan, as hardcore as she is, seems
to have the edge on this sort of info :)

The Fillmore box office sells tickets for both Fillmore events and
Warfield events. I'm not even sure if the Warfield has a box office. But
yeah, this is what the Fillmore web page says.

I've decided to really challenge myself this summer, and I want to learn
Flight of the Bumblebee on my guitar, as soon as I wrap up TTT. my only
problem is that I can't find tab or music online (I've tried OLGA, and she
doen't have it) and I don't really want to go buy a copy (being a poor
college student and all). do any of you have a transcription on their
computer? if so, would you mind emailing it to me. I'd really like to do
this 'cause the guys in my band dared me to, and I'd love to show them
what's up. I'd prefer tab, 'cause I haven't read treble cleff since 7th
grade, and my theory class doesn't begin till the fall. thanks bunches!
ps - can anyone figure out the reference in the subject line? MP probably
could!

Okay, if this is true - I am genuinely excited. I almost HATED seeing new
news about Jason Becker since the DLR album because it was always BAD news.
Earlier this year I received a letter from Jason's mother (because I ordered
Perspectives from Jason) stating Jason was going in for surgery, but it
sounded like it was surgery just to help a certain problem (breathing). Now I
am hearing stories of recovery. If it is true, was it a natural recovery
(Jason's will is so strong he just started to regain control?) or drugs or
surgery? If Jason is recovering then this is the best news I've heard in
quite a LONG time. If anyone out there knows more, please report back.
