    Hello,

    >*I'M* the Mary, *SHE'S* the Rhoda. (10 points to whomever guesses that

Do I get ten for each reference? No guessing needed: Mary Tyler Moore Show
via Romy and Michelle. God I rent too many videos...
            On the Ryche:
    >Hear in the Now Frontier was worthless crap, I think we can all agree on
    that.

Ahem? I happen to like that album for gems like Saved and Hit the Black.
Sure, they sucked live on this tour, but I still make mixes with songs from
HitNF... Call me a masochist. As for Promised Land:

    >I love it. It's the best album they've ever done. The production on that
    album is the best I've
    >ever heard from anybody

And you think that bootleg threads never die? I remember this from when PL
came out! Set it to rest: PL is the greatest album QR is capable of, far
superior to Mindcrime. Why do I say that? Making up a fictional concept
album is no big trick, making one that applies to REAL LIFE, now there's
the deal. Also, there is no diversity to the music on Mindcrime; it's all
straight metal. PL goes from metal to pseudo-goth, to semi-techno and rules
all the way through. Not to mention that this album produced one of the
greatest live performances by any act ever.
            Oh, and yes, that's opinion.

What do I know about Iron Savior? Well, the band consisted (I use
the past tense because I think the line-up is shifting) of Blind
Guardian drummer Thomas Stauch, Gamma Ray guitarist/singer Kai Hansen,
and ringleader Piet Sielck (guitar/vox) playing on a concept album
about some sci fi topic or another. Thematically, it fits pretty well
with GR's "Somewhere Out in Space." Humans being enslaved by Martians
or something. Read the liner notes. Anyway, the music is VERY reminiscent
of Gamma Ray, but it's not quite as interesting, in my opinion. It has
a mid-80s Judas Priest feel to it, also. Sort of run "Turbo" through a
blender with Gamma Ray, and you get the idea. Worth the $12, I would
say. I heard they were going to tour with Gamma Ray in Europe this
Summer from the guitarist in Mercury Rising. I guess MR was supposed
to tour with IS, but Gamma Ray grabbed IS instead. Buddies, I guess.

Sheesh, try to inject a little humor and suddenly I'm uhmmm... extravagant! Of course, I'm only assuming you're referring to me... then again I wasn't the one who brought up the issue of respect, so your post has only left me confused.
