    hi all,

with me seening the metallica messup and someone else seeing Dave Murry breaking his
finger, reminded me once on stage while we were playing Enter Sandman, some guy jumped
on stage and while headbanging or whatever kicked my boss hm2-s adapter. When we were
looking at a vdo of that show it was really funny to see everyone jumping up and down
and me crawling on all fours all over the stage to find something.
That proves again the fact that when on stage Murphy's law really exist.

    Message-ID: <19990809074804.2532.qmail@hotmail.com>

    Lucky day, oh Lucky Day!
So I'm listening to my local underground metal show "The Root of All Evil"
and they say that they have an exclusive copy of the
    NEW TYPE O NEGATIVE!!!!!

It's called "World Come Down" (or World Coming Down) and it "Should be out
    soon".

Anyway, they played two tracks off it. One was called "Wicked Green Light"
and had a slow "Green Man" feel to it.

The second one had the title of a vampiress's name and had a fun and
slightly cheesy vibe along the lines of "My Girlfriend's Girlfriend".

Both songs were VERY COOL and VERY TYPE-O. I think it's safe to say that
their new one will build off of that same wonderful sound that October Rust
had with plenty of new tricks. I'd heard rumors that their new one was
going to be SUPER SLOW and SUPER HEAVY, but that doesn't seem to be the
case, as far as I can tell. They both had a very "October Rust" sort of
feel to them and I AIN'T COMPLAINING!!! I did notice them dabbling with a
little vocal effects, but not too much that it's distracting. We shall see!

Here's the best part: I taped the two songs! Here's my problem. I'm
assuming that TONS of people on this list want to have a copy of their very
own until the new album is out so here's my suggestion:
If someone could convert them to MP3 format for all to download, that would
rule. I would even give you my original. (Obviously I'd make a copy for
    myself).

I understand there's still some dedicated fans that would need a copy and
can't download an MP3 and I could make you some copies, so long as I'm not
bogged down. I really have no idea what kind of response this is going to
    generate.

Oh well. Please send all responses via private e-mail.

Well, you heard Biaxident, you heard a lot !! It's a great tune. But,
it's nothing compared to Another Dimension, or When The Water Breaks.
Well not exactly nothing, but those are the highlights of that album
for me. It's definitely as cool as LTE1, I'd say much cooler, so it's
worth of almost _any_ amount of money. Get it, you won't be dissappointed.

Okay, I originally posted to the jam about this movie about 2 months
ago, and I finally got to see it this weekend. It was everything that I
thought it would be, and the ending fit the rest of the movie perfectly.
In response to a few comments about the movie:

The directors are from Orlando, not Philadelphia. In the theater where I
saw it (at midnight, natch), a few people tried to be loud early on, but
a very loud "Shut up or I'm coming up there to shut you up" by a big
fellow a couple of rows behind me did the trick. I've never heard a
theater full of people be as quiet as they were during the last ten
minutes. When the movie ended, the single voice yelling "No fucking
way!" summed up my thoughts very well.

You can't go wrong if you see this movie :)

If anyone would like to help me interpret the stick figure that served
as the logo for this movie via private email, I'd be grateful.

    Take care,
    Mark Peters

i just read a story a couple of days ago about another indie flick, created
in 1997/98 which contained many of the elements of BWP....the creators of
blair witch were apparently amazed at the similarities.....>>>>

    Hey Partha,
Can you find out the name of this other movie they were referring to?
I just saw BWP and was absolutely blown away....

BTW jammers, just 'cus I'm posting doesn't mean I'm reading...
I have about a months worth of jams piled up and I just skim one occasionally
    when I get the chance...
Hope all is well & positive here!

    Greetings fellow Jamsters,

Has anyone heard of Danielle Brisebous? I've only heard a few snippets
of her stuff, but from what I've heard, wow, what a voice! The music was
somewhat generic soft rock, but damn... What a voice. :)

A friend of mine gave me a KORG Poly 6 synth before moving out of town a couple years back, and I was wondering if it has any resale value based upon it's "vintageness" For those not in the know, the KORG P6 was the last keybaord KORG released before MIDI was unleashed onto the music landscape (does anyone know when the P6 was manufactored?) The unit reminds me a Moog Synth. It has a bank of rotary dials which allow you to modify a waveform to recreate various patches and the like. It also has that ubiquitous pitch bend wheel for those special artistic touches.

Any comments on the above would be appreciated!

Now, if only clicking on a Radio Button actually caused the music(ian) to be aired on the radio...

What struck me as funny was seeing Willie Nelson:

    a) beating Jim Matheos b) in that category in the first place

This is the same William Nelson which gave us such time honored classics as "Of all the girls...I've poked before", right? Was it a toss-up between that group and the one with Meshuggah in it? :)

Oooh... The Final Fantasy music is THE best video game music I've ever heard. Even from the first 8-bit game on the original NES the music was excellent. One of my favorite songs is Celeste's Theme from Final Fantasy III for SNES. Incredibly moving orchestrations. Especially the End of Game music where it melds all of the character's themes into one song.

*Ahem* Our FF2 was their 4. 1, 2, and 3 were all Famicom (Nintendo) games, and the first FF game to be released on the Super Famicom was FF4.

There are also lots of Final Fantasy music albums in Japan - they seriously capitalize on this stuff over there.
