Some how, I don't picture sex to DT going so well. First of all, with all
those changing time sigs, establishing a comfortable biological rythm
would just be crazy. Also, the heavy stuff doesn't quite say S&M to me,
but it certainly doesn't say "light some candles, drink some wine, and
give your baby a tongue bath" either. Now the Great Kat, on the other
hand, there's some boot-lickin' shit. What a fucked-up psycho bitch that
chick is. Such a shame, since a woman who can shred better than I can
would alwyas have my un-dying servitude, except if she's a dominatrix of
the first degree, who'd rather die than set you free. I mean, that nasty
Kat, she's no debutant! Now Vora Vor on the other hand, I think I just
might let her suck my blood with her vampire's mouth. Sex to From Whence
it Came? I can see that going rather well. In fact, maybe I'll have to
    remember that.
DT's slower stuff, you may ask? Well, imagine if you will, having
slow hot sex to Space Divest. That's like the despairing last come.
After you're done, it's time to go get a shot gun and either do a mutual
suicide or off your lover and then yourself. Ormaybe I should just forget
all this and stop rambling, because saying all this is a sure sign that I
just haven't gotten any in a too too long. Be well.

    Hey everyone,

I was just curious if the two west coast LTE shows have been released on CDR
yet. I see that MP3s are floating around, so I presume that it was
recorded. So if someone does have a CDR copy of both shows (or just one for
that case) please email me (scott@erotomania.org) so perhaps we can set up a

This is a song that I've been working on for the past few days. It's a
medley/tribute/remix of several ideas from Dream Theater songs. I mixed it as
a giant WAV file out of mostly loud and heavy parts of DT songs. So if loud
and heavy is not your cup of tea, you might want to turn your speakers down.
I could really use any feedback any has for me (preferably, nice feedback ). I
think this is the final version unless something makes me want to change it.
This is my first time making anything like this...

It is important to note that everything you hear on this song is from some
kind of Dream Theater recording. Everything. I only mixed the sounds and
songs together, I didn't add any that weren't DT.

Some purists will not like this simply because it's not the original song.
Sorry about that. Imitation is the highest form of flattery, right?

I've heard Stern's DT bashing and honestly it pisses me off. He calls it death
music or whatever once he hears the keys. What the hell? He gets on stage
and sings with Rob Zombie, but knocks DT. He loves Marilyn Manson, but knocks
DT. I don't get it. I lost faith in the guy. He's so repetitive and boring

Hi Luke. Since you liked what you heard from TSE I suggest you start with
"Brave". Another suggestion would be "Clutching at Straws" from the
Fish-fronted era, but I would wait until the remastered version came out.
Look for any Marillion remasters, because they come with a bonus cd with
lots of outtakes, different mixes, live versions, demos, etc.

If you think your winning this dubious honor is simply misogyny, then yes, it is
to you. However, if you actually looked at the inanities and discourtesies
you've posted to the list and tried to think how we felt about them, you might
realize that it is the individuals, not the group, that are winning this. All of
these people have done something to aggravate other people, which is basically
what the poll was about. Look at the males that have been voted for: Syrinx has
flaunted his connections and can and has been rather arrogant on the jam; Max
Verran has multiple and crossposted things the list, as a whole did not care
about; Arash has plugged Empty Tremor to no end; Arman actually flamed us for not
liking Empty Tremor. Need I go on? I shall, then: You have posted private
e-mail to the list and complained about an imaginary misogyny you think is
present on Ytsejam. Your intent? You said it yourself:
    > Looks like we won hands down then folks heheheheheheh
    > Who's Queen? We do love to wind you guys up and it is so EASY!

Some people have gotten this "honor" rather accidentally; Derek Sherinian comes
to mind. However, the rest have acted specifically in an off-putting matter.
Try looking at yourself before you cry "misogyny", as if we're all just a bunch
of bitter men who can't get what they want from women and thus condemn the entire
gender. I daresay that most of us are more intelligent than that.

Hear hear! I find it interesting that when women discount the entire male gender, it's called "feminism." But if a man were to do the same thing (even though this isn't it), it's called "chauvenism." However, what we have here is a legitimate case of questioning one's actions, not one's sex. And it is taken as libel against the entire female gender. To me, that's just wrong. But I'm not going to force my morals on other people.

It actually reminds me of a conversation I had with a friend of mine a few months back - Me, being one quarter black, and a friend of mine, all white, had a conversation about the phrase "Black Pride." She seemed to have a problem with it, because she said it wasn't right. I asked her why not and she replied that if a white person had a bumper sticker on his/her car that said "White Pride" on it, that person would then be considered a white supremacist. I said that I didn't believe that because I have no problem with somebody being proud of who they were. But I realized that a lot of people WOULD have a problem with said bumper sticker because of all the history that goes behind it. What do you all think? I think it might be better to email me privately because this could be a potentially volatile subject.

DTC: My CD collection is slowly growing - I've just ordered Awake (finally) from CDnow and may go for others if I can find money. I hate not having any.

Another question: Is Laser's Edge the cheapest source for Symphony X CD's? I know this question has been raised but I don't remember what the answer was. I thought about buying them from CDnow because of the benefits I can get from it (as in $10 off...), but if I can find them cheaper somewhere else then I won't even bother with the $10 off thing.

Not only is The Laser's Edge the cheapest place to buy Symphony X CDs, it's also the fastest. Sure, the prices might be a bit lower at CDNow with one of their coupons, but you might wait up to three months for your CD to arrive. If it arrives at all. I had "The Divine Wings Of Tragedy" on order from CDNow for over three months until I finally cancelled it and ordered it from CDNow. I think it was a dollar cheaper at LE anyway, or something like that.

And Laser's Edge has kick-ass delivery. I ordered CDs on a Friday and had them on Monday. Pretty cool.

im back again. i was out of town for an all state competition, and found this giant mall ( with 4 sub divisions ), that had all of DT's cd's except WDADU. i happily got an awesome copy of Awake for less than $13.00. * which explains why im grinning like an idiot listening to "6:00 on a christmas morning,(break),6:00 on a christmas morning" and so on. * but anyway, im still trying to follow Innocence Faded, what are the chords exactly ? something like E major ?

hehehe. I still think Innocence Faded's breakdown section after the final chorus sounds alot like the song they used to used to use to introduce Saturday Morning specials on ABC a long time ago. You know, the ones that had the shows like "Bunnicula" and that one about the bald kid that made that peanut butter shit that his friend used to make his public hair grow all long and hang out his pantlegs.... And it had he pschedelic ABC logo spinning around in all pretty colors...

Anyway, I digress. Just like the midsection of Metropolis reminds me of the part where Bugs Bunny (aka Elegant Mess) is bein' chased around through the cereal factory by Mugsy and his gang on the Untouchables spoof cartoon. Yet, I still digress...

You know DT was raised on the same TV as we were. Perhaps if you listen closely "Conjunction Junction" will make a brief appearance in a new DT song. :)

BTW, I had a whacky dream last night that DT played at my high school, but hardly anyone showed up. They were into their 5th song (I think it was LitS) and so many people had walked out of their show that they all got pissed, packed up, and left. :P When I tried to run around to the back door of the auditorium to say high, I got hit by their bus, sustained massive interal injuries, and died.

Jeez, even my dreams suck. :P -- KorgX3 thinks John Myung played Data in "The Goonies." NP: Ron Thal: The Adventured of Bumblefoot

Is there anyone out there that hasn't heard "Unification" from IRON SAVIOR yet? Well now is your chance. The whole CD (plus Japanese bonus track) is up in mp3 format at www.iron-savior.com. Ok it is only 64kbps encoding and Mono but hell the band wants you to buy the CD *grin*.

If you decide to buy the CDs from listening to these songs please drop me an E-mail. That way I can let the band know that this type of thing works for selling CDs. Thanks and have fun.

    Jason
