Duffel Bag for telling me the way to do it, and to Rogerio Brito for the smart advice about removing the ID3 tag before connecting the MP3s! :) It did help a lot!

OK, time to hang my head in shame. i actually did try out for the real world. Not like i wanted to actually be casted for the show, but I did it with a friend for a laugh. Needless to say, I didnt get cast. I was, however, the only person so show up in a lace skirt, velvet top, fishnet pantyhose and Doc Martens. The guys all showed up wearing polo shirts and Tommy jeans, and most of the girls looked like cheaper uglier versions of Gwen Stefani. There were lof of platform shoes and pigtails. I just dont think the Real World is ready for someone like me. I didnt think there was any chance in hell of me getting a call back, but just in case, I had a plan to subject everyone to goth, industrial, and lots of prog metal. Cant say i didnt try.

Yeah, baby, yeah, that one is amazing! I've got it on a collection from Nuclear Blast, "Death... Is Only The Beginning" Does anyone know if there are more material from that show available elsewhere. Top quality recording. Could be Swedish national radio (the DT-boot Majestic Harmonies) and they usually end up as boots. Anyone with info?

I know there are tons of albums with real piano or organ, but this one deserves a special mention: Rick Wakeman's 'Criminal Record' has REAL piano and organ, not to mention a choir and Chris Squire and Alan White. It has to be one of Rick's best albums ever. Rick has recorded a few piano albums, including the 'Air' trilogy (Country Airs, Night Airs and Sea Airs), Heritage Suite, the Piano Album and the 2 Classical Connection albums, but he's been severely critizised (sp?) for using electric pianos and other things on some of these. 'Return to the Centre of the Earth' will be out soon, and he's using a few things in there. Here's a list: Rick's Keyboards: Korg 01W ProX Roland JD 800 Kurzweil K2500R Korg Trinity ProX Korg X5DR Technics WSA Steinway Concert Grand Piano Mini Moog Fatar SL 880 GEM Pro 2=20 Guitar, Bass & Drums: Yamaha=20 Studio & Keyboard Stands: Quik Lok=20 Recording Software: Steinberg using Intel Pentium II Processor=20 "Thanks to everyone at Intel for providing the technology to make this happen" - instigated by Jonathon Brierley=20 Installation: Hans Schreiner=20 Recorded in: Dolby SurroundSound=20 Technical Crew: Ian Barfoot & Mike Holden=20 Additional Orchestration Copying: Adam Wakeman=20

Yeh, but... am I the only one who thinks that 'Still Life' is too short and that they could've thrown in a few more songs? It seems to me that FW could've put out a live album right after 'Awaken the Guardian' with John Arch, Frank Aresti and Joey DiBiase, and at least 3 more songs could have made into 'Still Life'. They have so many great songs!

Ok, ppl. see you later! BP

i am seeking advise on the purchase of a keyboard. i'm looking for a = small, simple one that's suitable for round the house use. i'm not interested = in turning into a rock star or anything; just entertaining myself and my family. i've seen decent looking ones in places like Circuit City and = the like -- Casios and Yamahas -- in the $200 - 300 range. Anybody play = with something like this and would recommend one; or are they trash and i = should look elsewhere. All advise would be welcomed!!! Thanks for the help!

    Hi, folks:

The latest Artist Shop newsletter is out and you'll find it in its entirety at <http://www.artist-shop.com/news.htm>. But here's the excerpt from it that all DT fans will want to know about:

Keyboard Wiz Jordan Rudess will be joining us for an IRC Chat on Sunday, February 21st at 3pm eastern/12 noon pacific (that's this coming Sunday, folks!). Jordan Rudess is one of the hottest new keyboardists on the progressive music scene today. It was made official in 1994 when the readers of Keyboard Magazine voted him best new talent. They made that honor all the more significant by giving him second place in the best overall keyboardist category right behind Keith Emerson! Jordan's tastes have proven very diverse as he has worked with the likes of Vinnie Moore, Jan Hammer, Tony Williams, the Paul Winter Consort, Rhonda Larson, the Dixie Dregs, Rod Morgenstein, Liquid Tension Experiment, Annie Haslam, and many more. And just last month he accepted a gig as the newest member of Dream Theater much to the absolute delight of DT fans everywhere! Jordan will be discussing this new phase in his career, the recent LTE gigs and recordings for their next album, as well as taking questions from the fans. You'll find details on joining the chat at <http://www.artist-shop.com/irc>. Don't wait until the last minute to find out how to join the chat or you might be left out!
