We're sorry, but we haven't been able to unsubscribe you from the
    epigram e-mail group as requested.

The e-mail address you sent your message from

    ytsejam@ax.com

is not a member of the epigram group.

You probably subscribed under an address different from what you
currently use. To unsubscribe you, we need to know what address was in
use when your subscription started. Fortunately, there is a way to
    retrieve this address.

Find one of the messages you have been receiving. Go to the headers at
the top of the message and find the "Return-Path:" (Some e-mail
programs, like Eudora, optionally let you hide this information. You
can unhide it, for example, in Eudora, by clicking the "Blah Blah
    Blah" button.)

Please look for a header like:

    'Return-Path: <epigram-return-1234-user=host.dom@egroups.com>'

The information in the header that occupies the same place as

            user=host.dom@egroups.com

in this example is the e-mail address you were subscribed under.

To unsubscribe, we ask you to send a message to

            epigram-unsubscribe-user=host.dom@egroups.com

replacing "user=host.dom@egroups.com" with the address information
in the Return-Path header of the message you received.

After that, please reply to a confirmation message we will send, and
you should receive back a message that you're removed from the group.

If this still doesn't work, please forward a group message you've
received together with a note about what you're trying to achieve to
    the group moderator:

        epigram-owner@egroups.com

We're very sorry for this inconvenience.

At the Shack. It was a small place...

Anyway, Iced Earth was awesome. The first 3 bands SUCKED!!!!!

    Destiny's End was pretty good.

Nevermore could've been better - I wasn't really pleased with what they did.

    But Iced Earth was incredible!

The only thing I really didn't like besides the other bands' music was the strange actions of the people there. Why do people bob their heads up and down like maniacs? Why do they shake their hands up in the air while making that stupid devil sign?

Anyway, I wish I could just enjoy a concert without having to endure these loonies all the time.

I'm Michael (on some boards 'fateswarm')and I own the epigram ProgMetal mailing list that put all that crap on ytsejam. I really didn't want to do that and that's easily understood. I love dream theater and prog metal, there is no point of doing such a thing. The truth is that for some reason - I take the responsibility for that of course - an invitation was sent to ytsejam@ax.com. Someone becomes a member of epigram with a simple reply. I guess ax.com replies automatically to non-members or something like that and at this situation ytsejam became a member of Epigram. Everyone that knows of such things would guess I have no idea of mailing lists ... ... and that's almost the truth. I suppose I have to be extra-careful in the future. So, I'd like to ask your forgiveness once more.

I guess most people hate me here : (

I'm cross posting this one between Thoughts and Ytsejam because it is of interest of both.

I just got back from the first gig of the east coast and it kicked ass. Just so much energy tonight. I got there at about 5:30, which was way too early. I got to see a little of the soundcheck before some jerk closed the door. We then got to hear "Day For Night" and "Gibberish" through the walls. After the soundcheck, the band came out, got into a van, and drove away. Dark Aether Project then started their sound check. We then got into a long line, where I met Adam and Gordon and talked about various things (like the fact that they didn't bring chairs...) About 7:30, we were let in.

Orion Studios is a unique place to see a gig. It isn't a club, it is a recording studio. They have a large room in the place with a raised stage in the corner. There are couchs along the walls and the walls are painted black. General practice is to bring lawn chairs and set them up on the floor. Also general practice is to bring your own refeshments. I brought a cooler full of drinks that I was going to sit on, but I snagged the couch in the back with the two guys that I mentioned. Also inside, I ran into Lobsterback and Kez. I got the impression that this was Kez's first time to the place, because he was rather amazed by it.

Dark Aether Project came on first. They are the warmup act for just about every prog act that comes to town. Rather dark, King Crimsonish type stuff. Pretty good. This is the first time I've seen them with the new drummer and with Ray Weston as their new lead singer. Weston is, of course, the former lead singer of Echolyn (RIP). He sounded very good, esp with the new material.

Then the Bearded ones came on. I'm not giving the set list, because Adam is going to post an accurate one on the Thoughts list. I'll just give my thoughts. Any words that I can use? Awesome? Teriffic? Worlds greatest band? I don't think any of those words do them justice. So much energy. So much emotion. So much freaking talent. I loved it. From Ryo's antics to Squank. If they are anywhere near you in the next couple of weeks, do yourself a favor and GO.

BTW, the Phantasmagoria show seems to be a sham. Neal told me that they are to be in Rochester that day...

In other news, I spoke to Illuvatar's (latest) drummer. They have songs written and are recording for a new album. Looking forward to that....

Well, there are two DT songs that I can think of at the moment that really set my emotions crazy... One is Lines in the Sand, there is no song that gets my day going better than song, If I listen to it in the morning, it puts me in such a good mood, the incredible musicianship, great arrangement, just something about it does wonders for me...:) The other one is The Mirror, and this song does the exact opposite emotion...If I want to get real aggressive or am real pissed and want to let out some of that anger, I put this song on...It works better than Nine Inch Nails...hehe The Lyrics, the power guitar, the choppy chords(not meaning sloppy or anything like that, just real rough sounding), it just really gets my blood boiling...

As a side note, I just recently heard a chromakey mp3..man this song is AWESOME....I will definitely be buying this cd first chance I get...I had listened to that, platypus, and symphony x all for the first time, and while platypus and SX were both very good, chromakey just totally blew me away...the mood of it is incredible....platypus will be bought soon afterwards though...:)

I'd have to say my favorite "emotional" DT moment (not a song rather) is the guitar solo at the end of the middle part of LTL (After James hits the really high notes).. I personally think that is one of Petrucci's best solos ever.. you can feel the intensity.

Palpatine "Thank God I'm an aetheist" -Luis Bunel "What an incredible smell you've discovered" -Han Solo, Star Wars: A New Hope "Perhaps god gave the answers to those with nothing to say"- Savatage: Somewhere in time "Too bad! You were almost really evil!" -Shishio, Rurouni Kenshin
